I know!
then YUM! (the corporation tied to the franchise) complained about Mexico, which is dumb as KFC and Pizza hut thrives and sell a lot.

Eeeeeeh, definitively not a thing you would see here..
We take our tacos very seriously ;)

Boy when I was small and in Acapulco we would stay at a Hotel called the Princess (my Dad said named after
me ;)) and just down the road was a Pizza Hut, they've been around a good while in Mexico.

For evening swim meets we'd open up a single serving bag of Frito's and drop a scoop of taco meat into the bag, sprinkle with cheese, hand the swimmers a fork voila dinner. :hungry:
Meh, I'm a bigger fan of a good guacamole.. not "taco meat".
Btw, when you mention "taco meat".. you guys are talking about ground meat?
that is another thing that is different between Mex and the US.. the meat is never grounded like hamburger for our tacos.

Much like potatoes, I've never met an avocado I didn't like, either. :hungry:
unless it was a black avocado I hope? (aka avocado past its time)

Speaking of avocados.. they were very expensive a few months ago due of shortage (on purpose due) created by the Narcs controlling the farms... same with our lemons (small sour green ones)

And on the note of the Princess, we went for a walk one day out the front door of the Princess, it was a beautiful road but nothing that way really. Some limo's were leaving the resort as we were walking back to the hotel and two of the limo's stopped, near us drew machine type guns while the third limo passed and then they jumped back into the respective limos and caught up to the other limo. We just stood there in shock, me, my Mom, Dad and my younger sister. To find out when we were back inside that the one Limo had Secretary of State Henry Kissinger in it. Guess we looked threatening.:rolleyes:

Oh you are not following the type of food that is served at a swim meet, trust me, good guacamole isn't an option at a high school meet.

As for meet in anything taco that really depends on where you are dining, cheap eats or better dining. Where I tend to get taco salad bowls the meat is either diced chicken or beef that has been seasoned while cooking. Some places do offer ground meat and then places like Taco Bell serve something, not sure what that is considered but I don't eat there.

yeah, shreded or diced meat is the usual version :>

ground is usually in taco bell like places (urgh..)

and I never imagined the guacamole is too "high end" for a high school met o_O
or are we talking due of the mess it can make?

There are the kind of tacos I eat now. Not Mexican food but they are damn good.

You need to see our budgets for food for sports, yeah guacamole for 75 swimmers, not going to happen.

I remember my marketing professor in college going through the poor decisions American companies have made when naming their products for sale in other countries. My favorite was Chevrolet deciding to market the highly successful (in America) Nova to Mexico. Unfortunately, in Spanish, no va means something along the lines of "does not go". It did not sell well.

Yep, familiar that one...! :)
