So unfamiliar with that. So used to just goin' over to the thermostat and turnin' on either the heat or the A/C as needed.
More than once, we've used both during the same day. :)
Most newer homes around here have central air, but our house is older than I am. In what can only be described as RI at its finest, several years ago the airport corporation upgraded the houses in neighborhoods near the airport within a certain decibel range. They installed new doors and windows and central air to alleviate the noise issues. 3 or 4 years later, they came and bought out those same houses and tore them down for the proposed runway expansion...

Chicago could soon be getting a new entertainment venue that floats on Lake Michigan. “Breakwater Chicago” is a luxury yacht that will be docked about a mile off shore and will have a pool, restaurants and sun decks.

Being currently funded by Kick Start.

Floating architecture...LOVE IT!!! :joyfull:

Parts of it kinda' remind me of the Monsanto House of the Future that used to be at Disneyland...! :)

My lunch totally sucked. I had a taco salad with edible bowl but the taco meat was incredibly dry, there was no dressing, there were olives on it (seriously, a taco salad with olives? are you kidding me?) and the edible shell bowl thing was apparently deep fried in the same oil that they cook fish in, because, ew, gross.

I ate the greenery and cherry tomatoes and picked at the meat and left the olives, cheese, and bowl.

I'm still quite hungry. But I paid too much for half a lunch, I can't really afford to shell out more for more kibble. Gonna be a loooooooong afternoon.

:(

Sorry to hear that. Have had a few in my time. When they're good they're awesome, when they're bad they s**k. So many ingredients involved there, if just a couple, or even one (including the bowl ;)) are not up to par, it can completely throw it off.
Also, can't remember ever having one without black olives on it.

Had part 1 of my orientation this morning. Lots of boring videos and paperwork. Pretty much they could have just told me "use common sense" and I would be just as well off. I go back in on Monday to finish my orientation (I assume, she kind of had to cut me off and leave), and then I don't think I'll be able to start actual work until the 29th because they just did the schedules for the next two weeks. I did get paid for the 2.5 hours I was there today, though, and she said that's all that will be on the first paycheck.

The total amount of the very first paycheck I ever received from The Disney Store was $4.04. I came in for about 20-something minutes or so to sign some paperwork and fill out a bunch of forms and was not scheduled to work again 'til the next week.
I never even cashed it 'cause I decided to keep it as a memento.
To this very day, I'm sure the bean counters are still baffled. ;)

I think sometimes it's newbies or those that don't post on a forum a lot just trying to ask a question. We were all new once. :)

So true.
I still remember the first time I posted on the other Disney site. I had lurked for quite some time to try and get the feel for the whole thing, and finally decided to jump in. I still remember my first post in a random chat thread (I think?).
Something like... "Hi. first post anywhere. ever." *crickets*
So d**n awkward, but, I kept at it and soon fit right in. :)
At least, as far as I know... :cyclops:

Why do we have to go to Downtown Disney to get Adventureland souvenirs? Shouldn't they be available in Adventureland?

They are amazing when done well and very filling if edible ingrediants are used and the ingrediants do vary widely.
@Soarin' Over Pgh Taco salads here almost always have black olives.

And Avocado

Or the turkey's. :geek:
I forgot about Turkey glasses!

This is a link to a website of a pug licking the computer screen. Enjoy.

And I watched that for about three minutes!

One of my earliest posts here was on a thread about limoncello. The OP chewed me up and spit me out.

Smack down aside, I still maintain that limoncello is a big, giant, nasty trick.

It smells delish.
But tastes like lemon Pledge with a Buckley's chaser.
