That is the beauty of it. It fits the theme of WS as a country, Food & Wine because it is a food and Flower and Garden because it is a plant.

If this happened AND if they replaced Les Chefs de France with Chez Remy, I will officially give up on Disney. There is so much else they could do that could attract guests (even kids! 
) yet they replace a wonderful show with an IP. Impressions de France needs only a few updates, not a replacement. I cannot even mention again how much I do despise characters in World Showcase. So many people in this thread alone have attempted to explain how wrong it is, only to fall on deaf ears, so I will not reword their statements with the same meaning. Ugh, Disney. You want kids in WS? Well you could...
add an Eiffel Tower simulator after the Impressions film in France.
build a suspended dark ride themed to One Thousand and One Nights in Morocco.
create M&G opportunities with country mascots like Ben Franklin.
construct an interactive Sherlock Holmes experience in the UK.
start a new interactive game based on spies (like 007).
build a Russia pavilion with a dark ride through the story of Ivan the Fool.
DO SO MUCH MORE!
That's the really crazy thing about all of this! If Disney just stuck to World Showcase's true purpose to showcase the world's culture, they would have realized the rich folk tales that lie within those varying nationalities. You don't have to use your own characters and stories when there are already fun, fanciful legends native to that country and waiting to be told in a way that would attract everyone (even children). Come on Disney. You can do better.
