No trip to Costco.

Looks like bad weather is heading this way. There are severe storm warnings all around us. There is nothing we need so badly that it can't wait until Friday.

Sorry @Lucky - no sundae today.

Now I have to figure what we're doing for dinner. I'd planned on eating while we were out - either at Costco, or at one of the dozen restaurants in the same power centre.
Well you can steal PUSH'S idea and get pizza. Or take my idea and order Chinese food.

Sadly, last night went down hill fast.
Our last pup, the male Black Lab, Tucker, is no longer with us. He had been sick for a while and we knew he probably wasn't gonna' make it through the summer, but, we hoped he would be with us a little longer. The kiddos grew up with him and the other pups. Before last night, he was eating fine and showed no obvious signs of suffering. While I was posting here, DS had let him out to do his thing and then back in. He came back in under distress, but, we thought he just got scared by the storm. He could not breath properly or catch his breath. Went to the ER vet clinic. Not much they could do. Will miss the big lug.
As you can imagine, we didn't get much sleep, so I took a day.
I like to think they're all up there together as puppies bein' playful in the grass on a warm spring day...

I'm so sorry to hear this. :(

Oh, and if anyone is interested, there seems to be some new "discussion" fun goin' on in News and Rumors regarding whether or not SDMT can be considered the newest "Disney Mountain"...

DPB called it a mountain buuuuut I don't quite think I agree with that assessment...

Growing up, my brothers and I named our pup "Prince George Xavier Bruno Bowzer Buster Clyde, the First.
And then, of course, we all chose a different name for short.

He only responded to my mother however, who called him "Dog".

I love this story! We need "best of the thraed" highlight reels.

So I type this from the ER - hubby, not me. He started getting violently ill around noon. Managed to drive home but collapsed on the driveway. I was going to drive him to ER but I was at school picking up the kids and my neighbor's two sons heard him screaming and called the ambulance. My parents met me at school and took the kids to their house. They think spinal fluid leaked from epidural shots and caused the symptoms (awful migraine, stomach pains, blurred vision, etc.) He finally got meds and is sleeping now. Thank goodness too because the pain was making him one nasty guy. So I have no idea how long they will keep him and I don't want to go get dinner in case he wakes up when I am gone. The granola bar from the vending machine is only going to hold me off so long.

Oh my! Hope he recovers soon... And someone feeds you!

Stay safe!
T-storms poppin' all around here again tonight, too. Nothin' lookin' too severe just right now. Hopin' for a buncha' rain again, though. :)

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
Ended up ordering pizza from the only decent place in town, and a spaghetti and meatballs for me.

And the same girl who refuses to pay for parking (unless there is zero other option) also does not pay for delivery. Need to leave in 15 minutes, and hit the bank first.

Apropos of absolutely nothing, can somebody explain something to me?

Why is it that when you are flat busted broke, you want to buy absolutely everything?
And yet, when you are seriously bucks up (albeit temporarily) and can buy absolutely anything your little heart desires, nothing really appeals?

So remember how I said when I got my new laptop that the alerts button needed to be clicked on in order to get it to appear, instead of just hovering over it? Well now it's back to the hovering over it thing. Also my touchscreen doesn't want to work when I am using Chrome. On iTunes it's perfectly fine, and so is IE.

I don't want to burst your bubble, but if you are driving your car you are indeed paying for delivery. Gas, wear and tear and depreciation all are linked with vehicle operation. So... contrary to your thinking you are paying delivery. Sorry to bring the bad news.
