I have pics of the new props I'll post when I get home...

Personally, I loved the new Muppets. The film was classic Muppet humor modernized. The music ranked up there with The Muppets' greatest hits. I do agree that Muppet Vision 3-D should remain as is, but plussed.

Man.... Have a magical evening ........

I've had many a magical evening at WDW without visiting the Muppet area, thanks. I think it ought to be moved to a more suitable venue, like Sesame Place. That's where people go if they want to see a park with Muppets in it. Of course, I'd be happy if the Lucas stuff wasn't in DHS either. And as for any potential Marvel addition...*gag*

Funny, the movie was directed by Jim Henson and written by Bill Prady (Muppets writer and currently with Big Bang Theory). and Jim Henson also did the voice for Kermit (for the last time). So I guess Jim was imitating himself???
MuppetVision is a clever compilation of the entire "Muppetoire", put together in the typical somewhat haphazard and irreverent Muppet fashion and filled with sly cute and in-your-face humor (literally). It presents each of the varied characters in their normal settings while sticking to the theme of the entire movie. It is the best of the Muppets woven seamlessly together.

I love when the screen gets "sucked up"...and then when Kermit states such.
Love Beeker as he squeaks "why me?".
Love the pre-show.

Just wish Disney would update ALL their 3-D films to Disney Digital 3-D in the parks. It's an insult to Walt's legacy, who always pushed movie technology, to present these works using 70's technology.

It's an insult to Walt's legacy for his company to buy stuff like the Muppets in the first place IMO.

I like the movie, I'm also all for a new film.... It seems many moan that Disney never creates new experiences yet everyone seems to want the parks to become museums. There is no harm in updating the movie - 3D is way more advanced these days, and now we are able to watch 3D films at a movie theatre or in the comfort of our own home I really do think 3D has had its day in a theme park just as a film. It either needs to be presented with amazing effects that reall immerse you in the show or as part of an attraction like Spiderman/TSMM

What Disney needs to update is Mickey's Philharmagic. Every time I've seen it lately, the 3D looks blurry.

Here is the first new prop. It only looks like a couple of boxes with a slit cut out of one of them. I could see an effect like the crabs in the Mermaid queue going in here to interact with people...

Here is the second and this one is a bit more interesting. There is a power source hooked up to this mirror, which makes you believe something interactive is coming here. Rumor has it that Miss Piggy will talk to you through the mirror...

Walt was am amazing visionary and his work has changed things forever, but it was Roy's who handled the business side of the company. Roy listened to Walt when he wanted to take a risk on a project and Walt always returned the favour. Roy would have been wise enough to realise that Disney and the Muppets are a match made in heaven, and that Disney purchasing the Muppets in no way affects any of the other Disney company projects. Walt would have agreed because that's what they did, they believed in each other.

The purchase of the Muppets was a smart buisness deal, the $115 Million dollars made from the first movie proves this. If we want to continue to see Disney expand and experiment in new medias then they're going to need the funds. If Muppets and Marvel is the way to get these funds then I'll back them 100%. If you don't then I'm not sure you should really call yourself a Disney fan.

Walt didn't write fairy tales. He made them better. Now Disney makes muppets, marvel, and hopefully Star Wars better. (C'mon the prequel trilogy and cartoons can be bested)

I always love when people say this. Walt was a business man who created a dream for all of us but he was still a business man. Like previous posters said, Disney bought Mary Poppins, Winnie the Pooh, Peter Pan and other "Disney" classics that we all love. The muppets fit perfectly in the Disney family of properties bought and adapted to work in the parks.

And please stop thinking you know what Walt Disney would have done or not done. That's insulting.

Is it really necessary for you to post three times in a row how much you don't like the Muppets? You've made your opinion very clear several times on the board. You don't like the Muppets? Too bad, but a lot of people do.

That's what I'm saying, we know you don't like the Muppets. Stop trying to start arguments, and next time, at least have your facts straight before you post. Once again, have a magical day!

Disney hasn't made anything from Muppets or Marvel better. Muppets are still a franchise lost without the man that defined them, and Marvel hasn't changed since coming into Disney. Same creative teams on everything in the movie studio side.

Well there is someone on the Studio side who has said The Muppets could be Disney's biggest franchise so there is that...

IYO. Look at all the new characters getting movies in the marvel universe. Tell me that doesn't come from Disney $. And numbers don't lie the muppets are back. Jim was a puppeteer God. But he died 20 years ago. It's time to move on.

I was 4 when Jim Henson died and when my mom told me I cried. But that's the thing about a muppet. They have their own personalities. They live on.
