Grizzly Gulch - Coming to WDW?

But...does it have a disco black bear?

Maybe in five years.

(Let's hope not, though! For one thing, I think HKDL is slightly better about attraction maintenance than WDW has been lately. I also don't think there are any large-scale animatronic figures in the GG coaster that could be subject to mechanical problems like the Yeti.)

No. This is not coming to WDW in like ... ever.

But I am thrilled that folks here noticed what is about to debut in my favorite 'wittle MK on Lantau ... just sorry after watching it get built that I probably won't experience it until 2013.

GG was at one time, from our own Eddie (which I believe, was a ride he worked on), was themed to Indiana Jones, which at one time, could have been planned for AL.

If anything it could go to DHS, re-themed (Just remove the bear AAs and replace them with Indy and some baddies, like was originally planned). Which it probably wont... But still... This would be a cool Indy ride.

I think we're pretty well covered with BTMR, SWMT and Everest. While a new coaster would be great (especially at DHS), I really don't think WDW needs anything like this.

HKDL should have its own unique attractions as should MK.

I think that with the amount of money spent on rides at Hong Kong and now at Shanghai Disneyland, Disney needs to bring some of these to the US parks. How many people are going to visit Hong Kong Disneyland because it has its own unique attractions. If copying the best attractions at Hong Kong and Shanghai will bring more attractions to the US parks, I say bring them on the best of them.

No the OP is refering to a ride being installed in Hong Kong and they are wondering if it might be installed in Frontierland at the MK. Basically it is BTMRR with a different theme. I was just speculating that the ride theme could be overlayed on an existing attraction. I can dream.

This thread is not about the new coaster being installed in the FLE.

Didn't they just redo big thunder? You know tdo isn't going to just throw money at rides, the beancounters would stroke out.

Actually it's Expedition Everest with a different theme. Same ride system as E:E... Because of this, we won't get it... :(

Who said anything about BT?

I am talking about the theme being overlayed but on an entirely different ride system. And I don't mean the CBJ. Just thinking outside the box.

Am I the only one that is extremely happy to see that somewhere in the world Disney is building an original theme park attraction, without a pre-existing character or movie tie in? This used to be the bread and butter of my WDW experience in the late 80's-mid 90's and it has seemingly all but went away in present times. So glad that WDI is allowed to come up with something completely original and specific to the parks again.

I love seeing new, original attractions being added. It's just such a shame that we only get attractions based on licensed properties over here now at WDW. Everest was the last original attraction. Since then we've gotten the Seas with Nemo and Friends, Finding Nemo the musical, Toy Story Midway Mania, American Idol Experience, and soon The Little Mermaid.

While those are all fine and dandy, it really saddens me to see the lack of original attractions anymore,
