I am a total TV nerd but I think that may be about 2-3 years beyond me. I was born in 1973 so my parents waited until around '77 to start letting me watch TV indescriminitely. :lookaroun My earliest "grown up" TV was probably CHiPs and the original Charlies Angels. I bet if I watched an episode I would remember having seen it but not remember what it called.

I've got 10 years on you. Punk.

just looking at the TV schedule for the year 1973....crazy.

All the best shows were loaded on Saturday, now your lucky to find a decent show on Saturday or Fridays...

Check out this CBS lineup for Saturday Night: All in the Family, MASH, Mary Tyler Moore, Bob Newhart, Carol Curnett show...all classics

I watched them all. Ironically, I have never seen a single episode of Little House On The Prairie. Wait, perhaps I should catch up on little Laura and her rabies after all.

OMG I loved The Fall Guy. And Hunter - but that was bad 80s TV. I actually watched Little House - until the one with the weird clown that freaked me out. No show ever gave me more nightmares than the Fantasy Island with the wax museum. At the risk of being a spoiler, I'll just tell you they were dipping people in wax and someone turned on a fireplace and the wax melted to reveal skeletons. I didn't sleep for months.

Fantasy Island was famous for re-doing (aka ripping off) popular movie and literature story lines. Funny thing is - there must have been some other main theme of that episode because I went to imdb and read every episode synopsis for the 5 years it was on the air and couldn't find the one. Its totally possible I was mis-remembering the ordeal but I swear I can remember it like it was yesterday and it still creeps me out.

Just wondering...did pioneers such as the Ingalls have chihuahuas, and did they allow their daughters to play with them?

All funny, but...

I have a problem. I don't understand why the "mediator" has not closed this thread which has no relevance to anything DISNEY.

I am not angry @ the people posting here, but I am angry @ the mediators who choose to let this thread keep going, yet others are closed.

How is this thread appropriate for WDWMAGIC?:veryconfu

When I have been on other threads w/ some relevance, it seems that the mediators don't like me because my threads were closed twice!

I understand the "no politics" thing, but why is this allowed? What about "stick to the topic"?:fork:

I am not happy and am considering leaving this forum. Again, it is not due to the posters here, it is due to the moderators of these threads!:(

Please if someone could offer me some insight, that would be great! I know I sound like I'm whining, but I'm just trying to get down to the bottom of this!:fork:

Thanks so much Disney Fans! Let the magic continue...

The word is moderator.

This thread has not been closed because the OP was so bizarre that everyone ran with it - resulting in some humorous responses. It is also in Chit Chat, which is an area to discuss non Disney topics. Thread drift is tolerated a bit more in Chit Chat.

Your threads were closed because they were threads that you created to ask why other threads were closed. And those threads were closed because of the no politics (or religion, for that matter) rules. There are other topics which become heated and bring out nastiness, and those threads are also closed when needed.

If everyone could agree on what is and is not an appropriate topic for discussion, or what is or is not an acceptable way to present his/her viewpoint without being rude, insulting, or offensive, we wouldn't need any moderators.

You have not posted anything which has crossed the line into "bannable" behavior, and are more than welcome to post.

The "mediator" summed it up well, but I also wanted to point out that there are labels on this area of the forum that clearly differentiate it from the rest.

This thread was posted in Chit-Chat. Description: "A place to continue any 'thread drift', or to post things that just don't fit anywhere else!"

Chit-Chat is a forum under the category heading "General Chat & Non-WDW Discussion".

The MODERATORS do a perfectly fine job of running the show, despite the insolence you and many others in the past have displayed.

I'd personally recommend that you don't take in anymore raccoons as pets. Rabies is unbecoming...
