I was on the Fix The Magic site and saw that someone reported that there was no smell in Rome. I always look forward to that part and was wondering what happened to it.

I'm like you, one of my favorite parts of ride.Coming down in March, I hope that's fixed.

If you think about it the majority of the first half of SSE smells like burning Rome...

I'm thinking the smell is still there, it's just the effect of it 'burning' is not.

Yeah, it seemed to be working when I was there at Christmas... just not as strong as I remembered it...

I'm pretty sure the smell was still there when I was down there on the 10th of this month.

Didn't there used to be a projection on a horse and carriage coming out from the right and running down the street in the scene before Rome burned..?

we were there last weekend, and the smell was barely there. We both commented on it.

Yes, that's been gone since the refurb. Miss that too.....

It's been gone for months, however you can still smell it a little but the effect has been gone since at least summer of 2011.

I guess I could be wrong, but I have very little memory of the Irons version and I'm pretty sure that horse and chariot projection was around after the refurb.
