September 30-October 6, 2012 which Moderate?

We stayed at POR last year on our honeymoon and loved everything except for the transportation. The bus situation was absolutely horrendous the whole trip. We are planning another trip for my wife and soon to be born son's birthdays at the beginning of October 2012 and I need advice on where to stay.

We will need two, maybe three rooms. There will definitely be two couples with one child each, a one year old and a four year old, and potentially one other couple with no children. My wife and I will be AP holders at that point and all parties on the trip will be purchasing the DDP.

I have always heard good things about Caribbean Beach, don't know a lot about Coronado Springs, and was just really turned off by Port Orleans because of the bussing situation. Value resorts are not out of the question either.

Ok go :ROFLOL:

Thanks in advance for any advice

Well, if you stay at Port Orleans French Quarter you will be the first on the bus so you are almost guaranteed a seat. The bus has a lot of stops, but that is the case at every Moderate. If you are on the last stop, you will be standing...if you are on the first stop, you will get a seat but the drive is long. Give me the first stop.

Personally I would definitely go with a Value resort, Pop is the best one.

If you must do a Mod. resort then I would go with Coronado Springs. Very nice accomodations and I dont believe the bus situation is as bad.

I would suggest Coronado Springs. We have stayed there twice and like it both times. The thing there you have watch out for is lunch time can get crowed with all the convention people. Very nice. We dont care for CB...but its been a really long time since we have been there. If everyone is willing to take a step up in price then I would suggest AKL or WL....Kids would love AKL!!!

Another thing, can anyone tell me how much a TIW card costs? I can't find pricing anywhere, but am considering purchasing one instead of having everybody buy meal plans. From what I understand, as long as we eat together and do one bill, we can all receive the discount?

Pete, I like the way you think, and French Quarter is actually looking pretty nice to me.

Value Resorts are definitely not out of the question at all, but we probably won't be going Deluxe this trip

The lunch time rush could be an issue because with a 1 year old in tow, I wouldn't be surprised if one or both of us go back to the room mid-day at least a couple of times during the trip so we would probably just grab lunch at the resort

CSR is my favorite! Check out my site below. Besides having a great main pool area, it also has the largest hot tub on WDW property and one of the longest pool slides on WDW property. The pool, slide, arcade and playground are great to have in the same area.

CSR offers many deluxe amenities at a mod price (they also have suites).

The rooms have queen beds, have been recently renovated and are gorgeous. The rooms also have a sliding wooden door separating the sink area from the room instead of a privacy curtain like the other mods.

CSR has the same toiletries as the deluxes (except GF). CSR has separate shampoo and conditioner instead of the shampoo/conditioner combo at the other mods and values (a small thing, I know, but it means I don't have to pack shampoo and conditioner).

CSR has a fitness center, spa, tanning beds, a sauna, salon, full menu room service and a night club.

CSR has terrific transportation that is not shared with another resort.
