Generally I call it Hollywood Studios. I refused for a while but eventually gave in. My GF still refuses though, so I'll occasionally still call it MGM while talking to her just because i forget!

I don't mind the name change, but my family and I will always call it MGM.
Just the same as we will always call the French Quarter "Port Orleans" and the other one "Dixie Landings".

I call it Hollywood Studios.
It just seems better to me and I was happy with the name change. I don't even think about it as MGM anymore.

Studios or Hollywood Studios. Used to think I'd always call it MGM, but that time is long gone. Never call it "Disney's Hollywood Studios" that's just like saying "Disney's Aladdin" or "Disney's The lion King" which nobody says.

I MUCH prefer the current name. I never cared for the "MGM" name, especially when people would just refer to it as "MGM", because it always made it sound to me like it wasn't a Disney park. I always preferred to refer to it as "Disney Studios" or "the Studios" when MGM was in the name. The real name was "Disney/MGM Studios" but when people just call it "MGM" it downplays the DISNEY contribution and makes it sound like the MGM Studio built a park on Disney property or something.

When in actuality, the only attraction that used MGM properties was Great Movie Ride. (in some, but not all, scenes)

Star Tours, Indy, Muppets, Twilight Zone, and Aerosmith are NOT MGM properties, and neither are the ton of attractions featuring Disney and Pixar properties - Beauty and the Beast, Little Mermaid, Playhouse Disney, Disney Animation, Walt Disney: One Man's Dream, Fantasmic!, Honey I Shrunk the Kids, and Toy Story Midway Mania.

Throw in the fact that the park was built and designed by DISNEY Imagineers and NOT MGM, and the MGM name seemed so out of place to me, as again, nothing in the park has ANYTHING to do with MGM except for a few scenes in the Great Movie Ride.

I am not always big on changes, especially those that involve closing beloved attractions, but this is one change that makes sense to me that I can support 100 percent!

Put me down as someone who usually just calls it "Studios" or "The Studios", even before the name change... Once in a great while an "MGM" will slip out.

"Studios" in speech, "DHS" in print. Never under any circumstances the PR-marketing-copy brainchild Disney's® Hollywood Studios. ™ In fact, I could really do without the convention of artificially pasting "Disney" in front of the full name of every park since the Eisner era (Animal Kingdom, California Adventure, etc.)

My feeling is if the park is good enough, people will know who made it without using the park name as a billboard. There's a reason nobody says "let's go to Disney's Magic Kingdom or Disney's Epcot." Those parks speak for themselves.

(And don't bring up Disneyland, because that's a perfect case of not shoehorning the company name in and just letting it be the natural center of attention.) :D
