It seems like there has been some disappointing refurbishments but which one was the most disappointing? I do not think Universe of Energy was a disappointment but some people expect Epcot to be the museum or natural history.

The Seas ride itself is better than what it was before, as before it was nothing.

SE is a mixed bag, as the new narration and the end stinks, but the rest is pretty cool.

Imagination - I don't see why people hate so much. It's fine to me.

Universe of Energy is my choice, as it's too long and boring.

JIYI is the worst refurb of any attraction in Disney history IMO. While I understand the original attraction was plagued with problems, I don't think it called for a complete gutting and redo of the concept. The original concept was a great one but the effects were long outdated which is why the attraction was not very popular in its later years.

I am not too fond of what they did to Imagination either. The Living Seas was certainly better before they added Nemo and Friends as well.

I thought they really ruined Spaceship Earth. Before, it had all that beautiful music when you decended and the lights were so cool. The ending now with the screens is ridiculous. Love the Seas with Nemo ride, short as it is and Energy, well we liked the music they had before (Tomorrow's Child) much better. Imagination is fun and we enjoy it but we liked the first version much better. But as far as being the worse ride in Future World I'd vote for Mission Space.

i went for 'the seas' because i thought the place was pretty empty as far as exibits and things to see and do go. i remember there being lots to look at and play with and have your photo taken with. all i remember from this time was bruce, and 'find nemo' in the tank, which has been done to death in most marine parks. i would imagine that the 'turtle talk with crush' would have been quite good, but we missed the last show by minutes. also wasn't a fan of the whole 'nemo' thing as you entered 'the seas'. much prefered the feeling that you were travelling many miles under the sea.

i then noticed 'journey into your imagination' on the list. my first expression of this ride was that eric idle is getting a bit strapped for cash to appear in such a stupid ride. i got off and said to my husband ' was that??' i really thought it was a joke ride. it's awful. plus all the stuff that's meant to be there after the ride wasn't working, so it just looked as if they'd hurridly put together any old show, and given eric idle some money to appear and look like an idiot as a singing moon. i mean, come on.
although i will say with JIYI, i never saw the original, but i'm guessing it was a thousand times better that that farce that's there now.

i love universe of energy, although it's starting to show it's age. they could do with giving the animatronic ellen a bit of a make over. she looked a bit rough. i remember seeing it for the first time and thinking it was facinating going through the room with the dinosaurs. the rest of the story is a bit long winded, but i still enjoy the ride a lot.

spaceship earth... i don't remember much about the original, just that there wasn't that 'lets look into your future' bit at the end. i thought i remembered going backwards and looking at some more diaramas, but i may be getting it confused with horizons. found that last bit hilarious though because my husband pulled a stupid face at the photo part and it just looked funny. if he hadn't of done that, it probably wouldn't have been so good.

I voted JIYI but would have given it another thought had World of Motion been an option. Test Track is not one of my favorite rides considering that most of the times that we try to ride it, it shuts down! We skipped it for a few years to not let "first timers" experience our "jinx" with the ride.

I did like the old Figment better than the current one, but I can't stand UofE. Also, since they got rid of the live guide on Living with the Land I think it is a poor attraction. I really dislike the recording.

I see where your coming from on Spaceship Earth. To be honest when I was really little I thought the ending was pretty sad.

No, you're absolutely right. They could have shortened the track, removed 4 out of the 5 identical sets and just had one and ran off the same system they have now. Without the need to move constantly they could have reused the scenery and minimized it to fit the length of the track. They would have saved millions, still have a system that works right and have better attendance. They could of also moved some of the old Image Works downstairs and refurbished it.

SSE would have gotten my vote as I don't like the screen deal. Personally, the other changes weren't that big'a'deal, but I hate the screen thing lol

I wouldn't pick Nemo mainly because, judging off my hazy memory, not a TON was changed, but I do like the effect of the characters appearing to be inside the tank. I think that's cool. Granted, I've never seen the new preshow....

JIYI- Honestly, I vaguely remember the original. I remember something about a guy with a red beard on a flying contraption and Figment. I don't remember anymore.

I picked UoE only cause the ride could really use some updating. As a kid, I loved it because I love science, but, when I rode this past summer, I found it very long without a ton going on. I also thought the transitions from one area to the next really killed. That's my opinion, though :)

JII just sucks. It's nothing compared to the original and is in pretty poor shape as well. I hope plans to replace it move swiftly and begin in the near future...

Mission Space because I go years without ever stepping foot on the ride. I ride everything else in FW several times a year. And no, I dont get sick on M:S I just dont enjoy it.
