Radiator springs ideas

I was just posted a reply to another thread and this idea came to me. Its wishful thinking but if we brain storm and come up with enough great ideas for radiator springs in place of pixie hollow maybe we can get enough attention.
I will start with a few ideas I had off the top of my head.
Flow V8 café quick service restaurant
Luigi’s tire store themed kids play area with tires to crawl in.
A real life Guido walking around like wall-e or lucky
Re-theme the roller coaster to Lightning were you load the trains in a building that looks like Mack.
Forget Roger Rabbit from DL, let’s do a Matter’s wild ride were all the cars go backwards. It can be another D-ticket dark ride.
Ramone’s body art stand were kids can get there face painted.
A wet play area with the fountain of Stanley.
............................

I am not against this going in DHS and being like cars land but if that isn’t in the plan something at MK would be nice, all I know is pixie is lame.

I like the idea and appreciate the sentiment, but I think TDO is pretty well invested in the PH concept and project for the time being. If anything, the FLE will be scaled back in terms of size and money, whereas a concept like the CarsLand would only increase both. :)

I know this is an unpopular sentiment on this forum, but when will people stop belly-aching about Pixie Hollow?

When complaining goes out of style for some, I'm afraid....

But I agree; while PH does nothing for me or my family I'm willing to see what the final product will be before I pass judgment on it.....

Problem is, Radiator Springs would clash terribly with the mideval/fairy tale look of Fantaseyland. Radiator Springs would work better as a part of Pixar Place at the studios.

When they don't build it!

Why does it offend you so?

I realize you may not like Tinkerbell, the merchandise or the direct-to-video movies. But there is a huge demand for Tink in the parks. ?Just line up for her meet and greet and see what I mean.

Just as I defend FLE as a whole against those who say it is too girl-centric, I defend Pixie Hollow. There is a large contingent of Disney park goers (princess and fairy fans) who are not currently having their needs met.

Yes, there are a lot more princess fans than fairy fans. But the Tink fans are out there. They are waiting an hour plus just for a meet and greet. These fans deserve to have something more for them.

Not interested? Don't go.

For Tink not this franchise. I have no problem with Tink having an M&G in FL but not a whole land.

Now if instead of PH the minland is Neverland you are talking.

If that's what Disney wanted to build, I'd be happy too. But they want to build something specifically based around their current franchise which is Pixie Hollow. I understand that the franchise isn't for anyone. But there are a lot of fans out there. Let them have their fun.

One day, when/if Pixie Hollow is no longer popular enough to justify its existance in the park, they may just retheme it to Neverland anyway.

At least let them build it and see if it's a flop or not first.

lol I am not stopping them but I will continue to protest.

But you are protesting something that has a good reason to exist. Clearly, there are enough fans of the franchise to support this if it is well-executed.

Surely you can't expect Disney to only build attractions based on franchises you approve of.

That would be nice but no I don't expect that. If you want to build PH scale it back to the size of the one in DL, it would be justified in my eyes if they did that.

So they should only build attractions of a size that is justified in your eyes?

Given the large numbers of little girls buying PH merch, videos, etc and playing the very popular online game, you don't think that maybe you've underestimated the popularity of the franchise just a little?

I'm calm. I'm just saying...

It's one thing to say "I don't like Pixie Hollow". It's another to say they shouldn't build it. A lot of people seem to be saying "I don't like Pixie Hollow therefore they shouldn't built it."

I know the Tink stuff outsells the other fairies by a country mile. But any trip through my daughter's daycare (or any day car across the country) will refute your claim that the other stuff doesn't sell as well.

Tink is the star of the franchise. Barbie outsells Ken. Han and Luke outsell R2-D2. Batman outsells Robin. The fact that the Tink stuff outsells the other fairies is hardly surprising (or relevant).

I have heard rumors that Disney is disappointed with the overall performance of the Fairies franchise. But clearly it is still doing well enough for them to continue investing in it. If it was a bust, they would have pulled the plug by now.

I don't have any particular interest in Pixie Hollow. My daughter likes the princesses much more. But I don't see how anyone can argue against the idea of Pixie Hollow. If it turns out it's poorly executed, that's one thing. But the idea of devoting park space to the (popular) franchise is a good one.

So you are telling me that no one has ever bought any fairy merch at your store other than Tinkerbell?

I do find that hard to believe. But even if it were true, it's irrelevant. Your store would be some kind of freak anomoly.

See my previous post. The fact that Tink outsells the other fairies is to be expected. What does that have to do with building PH as part of the FLE?

I didn't say that another fairy has never sold  But you should see the towers of boxes we never sell and end up shipping to the outlets. The only thing I remember selling this bad is Atlantis merch.

And this is relevant how? :brick:

If Disney does a decent job with PH, the place is going to be packed. Whether or not the merch at your store is selling, the franchise has lots of fans. (Enough to support the continued production of the merch, the videos, books, toys, bed spreads and an online game).

Disney currently has 4 big franchises: Cars, Toy Story, Princesses and Fairies. (Pirates has dropped out of the big 4). Don't believe me? Go shopping for kid's bedding (or just about anything else) at Wal-Mart.

The continued (and unsupportable) anectodotal evidence about the sales at one Disney Store really don't hold up when you look at the big picture.

Disney Fairies = Big Business

Either which way, protesting something that hasn't been built doesn't do it justice. One can be opposed to the idea all they want, but until the final product is done and the reviews are in.......
