What would you change about the new Fantasyland?

Imagine if you were the head of the new Fantasyland project. What would you change about it?

Personally, I would take away Cinderella's chateau because she does kind of have her own castle a dew feet away. I would replace it with Malefecint's castle and have and interactive attraction inside of it somewhat like the old Cinderella Castle Mystery Tour at TDL. Then I would take away the whole Pixie Hollow for something different. Instead of a Tink ride it would be a Fantasia ride that would almost be like an outdoor dark ride. Each segment from the movie would have it's own scene on the ride. Instead of a Pixie Hollow area I would turn it into Wonderland, where every scene and character from the movie will sing to, talk to, and interact with guests.

Instead of Meet and Greets....Rides. (based on the characters they want to bring in)

And some new stuff, too. Maybe Pinocchio.

I couldn't agree more on incorperating villains into fantasyland.
A villain castle/meet and greet/ride/restaurant. ANYTHING!

Personally, I think they are trying to build a following on pixie hollow that is not really there. Instead of their meet and greet area...a ride would be much better.

Less Princess's and Fairies, and less meet and greets more attractions like dark rides, a Casey/Storybook attractions like DL and DLP, and a small thrill. Also throw in a broadway style theater similar to HKDL's Storybook Theatre, DCA's Hyperion, and TDS's Broadway Music Theatre.

but the new princess meet and greets coming look so much nicer than the ugly tents there in now, nothing says Disney royalty like a cheesy fair tent.:ROFLOL:

Honestly, I think that the land proposed is pretty well unified.

But, yeah, a Maleficent castle would be very cool.
With an e-ticket villain ride. Soarin' over a Fire Breathing Dragon.

A sprinkling of Pinocchio, maybe? Not sure about that . . . .

I'd wish for Hercules stuff, but that's not really Fantasyland, even though it would "sorta" fit.

So, yeah . . . for a Fantasyland, and based upon the Disney "canon", I think it's about just right. I'm a guy, not so much into the princesses, but I do appreciate the purity of the theme being carried through.

Maleficent's castle, though, mmmm, that would be cooool.

1 Give Peter Pan and Snow White good refurbs. Also with new exteriors (and a comlete ridding of the tent architecure in the land).

2. I agree that Cinderella's Chateau is the most pointless part of the expansion. It takes up way too much space, its just a simple meet n greet, and her castle is just down the way. Personally I'd replace it simply with a new dark ride be it Pinoccio, or even better and newer, Mary Poppins. Any dark ride would go good there.

3. Give Pooh an overhaul to be more like TDL's version (not necessarily with trackless honey pots, but similar SFX, set pieces, animatronics, etc.).

4. KEEP Toontown but give it a major overhaul to be more like DL's. It would be complete with the awesome "Toon Bus" simulator concept which would be awesome.

5. And finally, convert Philharmagic to digital projection. Oh yeah, and NO PIXIE HOLLOW!!! Period!
5. Place Dumbo on the Indy track (the track is rerouted).

I would keep it as is, but add rides to each land and I think they should replace Pixie Hollow with a land for villains. It would have Bald Mountain where the Pixie Hollow tree is to be located, and it would be a mountain coaster.

I agree with the majority that Pixie Hollow should go. I really like the idea of incorporating the villians in there somehow. And more rides!

1. I would cut Pixie Hollow down to the size it is in DL.

2. I would have Casey Jr. but It would circle the whole area sort of TTA style.

3. Alice in WOnder Land dark ride along with the hedge maze they have in DLP.

4. Since PH is much smaller now I would Make a Herules miniland complete with a dark ride and a hero training center.

I've said it before, I'll say it again. I think a lot of people on this forum underestimate the demand for princess meet'n'greets. Disney is only giving people what they want.

Yes, I realize that adult theme park enthusiasts may not have a lot of interest in most of the new FL. But there is a huge population of little girls who's needs are not currently being met. They are flooding two very expensive character meals for the chance to get their princess fix. And they've made the BBB a huge money maker.

So even if you and I (and most of the adults posting on these forums) think a land full of princess meet'n'greets is a bit of a yawn, I have no doubt that they will be fantastically popular. I'm not sure that even the expanded FL will completely satisfy the demand for princess. I expect there will be ridiculously long lines for everything.

Of course I'd like more rides. And more stuff that interests me personally. But Disney is doing the smart thing here. They are servicing a devoted fan base that is not currently having their demands met.

What would I change? Not much. If I could ring out some money for more dark rides, I would. But if the budget couldn't be increased I don't think I'd change a thing.

I would eliminate pixie hollow. Change it to something a boy might enjoy. Possibly just a better Toon Town if TDO is set on more meet and greets.

I would seriously go for the hundred acre wood area around pooh.

The area doesn't have me very excited right now at all, so hopefully TDO does make some adjustments with this ridiculous Pixie Hollow idea.

1. PH would be Villain themed with some sort of E-ticket and a dark ride.

2. There would be a canal boat ride that would take you past Prince Eric's castle, Beast's castle, Cindy Chateau, and Sleeping Beauty's cottage. Each area would be separated by a tunnel that would give us a short dark ride of each movie and lead us in with the beginning of the next movie. The boats would have onboard audio that would tell you the story of each movie as you float past the castles and the end would be the beginning of the next tunnel, then midway through start the beginning of the next area. Sounds confusing but if anyone needs a better explanation just PM me. :lol:

3. A smaller scale PH would be where the PH spinners are.

4. Completely new queue areas for PPF, SWSA, and MP.

5. Complete refurb of PPF, and SWSA rides. (Cleanup and such.)

I'd like all this stuff. But if we get exactly what the model or blueprints show I'll be accepting.
