Hah! Very interesting.
EPCOT's map pictures have come a long way from Nemo, thankfully.
Are you finished with your report or can we expect more?

And how could not pick up a map? Always get a few from each park...
It's interesting though, because you explain the Studios as if you KNOW it's fake. Isn't the point of the Disney Park that escapism and that UN-reality where you are transported to the other time, other place, other reality? Maybe that's what's different about Studios. It doesn't offer that.
I'm still not buying that what Servo says about teh Studios is the true WDI story.
I agree that they should hire him to make it the official story though. It almost makes sense!
More pics, sure. Are you finished with your report or can we expect more?
They are on Twitter. The pictures of the maps are not showing up on my computer anymore.
So do I, but that has never stopped me.:lookaroun:shrug:
I have a box full already.
OK, I agree with everything, and a lot of the details are beginning to make sense. I like it.By definition, Entertainment is fake. Always has been. But there's something special in all this "fake" entertainment, isn't there? Something that makes Hollywood feel a bit more than just a name on a map?
And Epcot and Animal Kingdom also represent real places, in real situations. Epcot and Animal Kingdom BOTH deal with the real world, rather unflinchingly and in the Disney way. Studios deals with the Entertainment world, where illusion and trickery become entertainment and magic. Hence why the park let's you see just all that. Illusion, Trickery, Work, as well as entertainment, magic, and showmanship.
Frankly, I think all three non-Kingdom parks are much better for their stance of being willing to show you something real, or talk about something real, and show you what's special about it.
You really don't know how close you are to the truth.
:zipit:
Plus STORY isn't really what we're talking about. This is dealing with Theme and concept really, all the stories in Studios are all very grounded.
Anyways, the stuff I speak about Studios is true. True enough to throw all you people you treat it different (When really it's just like the other two) off the complaining track and actually invest some time thinking about what IS there rather than what ISN'T.
Oh, and to answer the question about Midway Mania, I'll say the Theme again: Letting you take the center stage. (Which has been reflected in the parks' slogans..."On with the show!" "Where YOU take Center Stage!")
The goal of the Theme is to put you in the middle of Modern Entertainment Action. To star in your own episode of the Twilight Zone. To be a VIP rushing to a big Hollywood concert. To be the lead in a Star Wars Adventure. To be in the scenes of the greatest movies of all time. To be a Toy in the Toy box. Studio settings are all just SETTINGS of the park to carry out that goal.
There's only ONE thing that doesn't make some reasonable sense in Studios, and that's the hat.
(Also, the Director is there because the Director can't be "in the shot" The idea was to give an uninterrupted view of the street to the Theater and as you reach the halfway point, you start to see stuff like the Director and the Soundstages, and the stuff going on behind the scenes.)
Not to mention Figment's name on the pavement when you go backstage... :lookarounBy the rarely used Restroom on the FAR West side of JII. Had never been back there. Kinda peaceful and some great vistas of FW West.
WHERE is that? Spent way too much time looking for it. :lol:Good pics.

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it, I always like doing these.Nice pictures! The report was fantastic and I loved it! Thanks!
Supposedly backstage, next to the restrooms. You actually have to go past the walls into the backstage area, and it would be right there.WHERE is that? Spent way too much time looking for it.
