What scenes in GMR should be kept?

Personally I would like to keep the gangster street and the wizard of oz scenes,maybe the western part and the singin in the rain/marry poppins scenes also, but as far as I'm concerned everything else can be replaced...

which brings me to my next question, what scenes do you feel are essential replacements?, imo lord of the rings would be amazing, but won't do it justice, it deserves its OWN ride, not just a couple of scenes (just as wizard of oz should be its own ride and not just a couple of scenes, but I digress).. a titanic "king of the world" scene would probably be perfect, those 2 are the only ones I can think of at the moment, what would you guys keep/replace?

The only thing I would ever want to remove is the tornado scene. I would like to see Fantasia expand more. :shrug:

I think the ride can be expanded back into the HISTK playgrounds where new scenes can be added.

As for existing scenes, I think the one that really needs to go is Tarzan.

Not a Titanic scene, please never. As many awards and accolades it won, it has got to be one of the most overrated movies ever.

I could do without the gangster and western scenes (I really don't like the loud noises or fire), Tarzan, Alien (scary!)... The Wizard of Oz is perfect and shouldn't be touched... keep the small Mary Poppins and Singing in the Rain scenes... restore the Footlight Parade scene to its former glory... expand the Fantasia scene... keep the Casablanca scene... keep the Indiana Jones area but do something a little different with it... I think we need a scene for Star Wars!

The only Disney movie I'd say belongs in GMR is Lion King hands down. That movie is timeless. Also Beauty and the Beast.

Footlight Parade - goes

Singin' in the Rain - stays, but perhaps better represented

Mary Poppins - stays

The Public Enemy - either stays, or replaced by another gangster film; maybe the Godfather, so Marlon Brando can be represented in the ride

Western scene - stays

Alien - goes; would be a good spot for a Star Wars scene, but needs to be ANYTHING but Alien

Raiders of the Lost Ark - stays

Tarzan the Ape Man - goes; would be a good spot for the African Queen or Jurassic Park

Casablanca - stays

Fantasia - goes

The Wizard of Oz - stays

Movie montage - replaced by AAs representing scenes from different movies, all in new one huge scene, all to the "Hooray for Hollywood song" (like the IASW finale, but with movies)

Ideas for new movies: Citizen Kane, Lawrence of Arabia, Jurassic Park, Gone with the Wind, The African Queen, A Streetcar Named Desire, Pirates of the Caribbean, King Kong

This replaces the about half the ride - so it's half-classic, and half-new . The rest would be refreshed with restored special effects and new AAs.

Im sure universal would have a say about that. I think that even though it is a disney park ride, they shouldn't include animated scenes until the end. And Star Wars all the way!!!!

Hell, the ride. With a trackless system. And multiple ways to go through the ride track. Do one room before you do another but in a different order every time. It would work perfectly with you visiting different "topics" like in the original.
