After 2 days trying to make my ADR´s on the fatal change to 180 days I am very happy to say that I got all my ADR´s done.

So, what do you think of them. note that it will be our first time in each of them.

1- Play House Disney at Hollywood and Vine (breakfast)
2- Sci-fi (lunch)
3- Tusker House (breakfast)
4- Rain Forest Cafe (lunch)
5- LTT (LUNCH)
6-Cinderella Royal Table (lunch)
7-Arkeshus (lunch, celebrating DD an her friend 6 y birthday)
8-GardenGrill (dinner)

Since I really like mexican food, I´d like to try San Angel Inn too.

can't go wrong with Cinderella Royal Table. We did Tusker house breakfast on our last trip and really enjoyed it.
As for Akershus, I will let you know on that one. We will be going there in 29 Days!!!!!

Please, do tell what you think about Akershus, when I read the menu I was a little afraid...but it´s an opportunity.

I've done Play 'n Dine three times for lunch but I've never done breakfast. Their lunch is great... just as good as Crystal Palace. I'm sure their breakfast buffet is good as well! The characters usually spend a decent amount of time at your table too and you usually get to see characters more than once.

Garden Grill gets mixed reviews but I really like it there. I prefer family style over buffet... just b/c I'm up and down so many times getting the kids what they want that I never get to enjoy my own meal! The characters have always been great there. And I love the ambiance! The last time we were there the kids dessert was a make-your-own cupcake which they loved!

Crush Dude!

Back from WDW!Counting down to DLP in November!

The two I have been to are Sci fi and the Playhouse Disney breakfast. I already answered your Sci Fi questions on that thread, so I'll address Hollywood and Vine here.

We had a very mixed experience at H&V. My daughter (who's nickname is Jo Jo) was very into Jo Jo and Goliath at the time. And the Little Einsteins were favorites as well. So, we considered this a must-do.

Mostly, it was what I would expect from a character breakfast. But not quite as good. The food was about the same as everywhere else. But not quite as good as Chef Mickey's or O'hana. The atmosphere was okay. It was very loud and festive, but that's true of all the character breakfasts we've been through.

We had good experiences with 3 of the 4 characters in the restaraunt. But we had a bad experience with Jo Jo that day. Goliath, June and Leo all made their way to our table pretty quickly. But Jo Jo never made it out of a certain area. She kept hitting the same few tables before getting swept up in a "parade" around the restaraunt and going on a break.

My daughter was wearing a Jo Jo T-shirt and the waitress commented on it. We explained that her name was Joey and she was really looking forward to meeting Jo Jo. We asked why Jo Jo never made it to this side of the restaraunt. The waitress assured us she's make sure we got to see Jo Jo before we left.

Finally, Jo Jo made her way to our side of the restaurant. We had long since finished eating and were just waiting for our chance to meet her. She walked right past our table. My daughter waved and called out to her. But off she went.

I understand the difficulties of these things. So I was patient. My wife was getting a little steamed. She was beginning to take it personally. Jo Jo must have passed our table 4 times without acknowledging us. I'm sure it wasn't personal, but it was getting tiresome.

After continued promises from the waitress that Jo Jo would come to our table, I just flat out told her that we were ready to leave but we couldn't do so until Jo Jo stopped by. (It had been an hour and we'd been done eating at least a half hour ago.)

To her credit, the waitress finall grabbed Jo Jo and dragged her to our table. We got our pictures and our daughter was happy. But my wife is still steamed about the whole thing.

I'm sure this was an unusually bad experience. And other than missing one character repeatedly, everything else was okay. But I don't expect we'll ever be back. There are just too many alternatives. Every other breakfast we've done has been better.

Never did the Play House Disney

Sci-Fi is not my favorite. I just don't like the seating and the food is ho-hum

Tusker House is nice

Rain Forest - I avoid

LTT - I still like it.

CRT - Food is OK, but not for the price. But then eating in the castle does not thrill me. For some people, that alone is worth the price of admission.

Arkeshus - Another one I like

Garden Grill - I used to really like it. The last two times it was sub-par. I am interested see how it is for you.

I think your list looks great for a 6 year old girl! Your daughter will have a wonderful time meeting such a variety of characters, and taking in the atmosphere of the other non-character meals you've chosen... and even if the food isn't the best WDW has to offer, there will be other opportunities for that culinary 'wow' factor in years to come.

I'm realizing that the character meal days are waning for us, and seeing your list makes me long for the good old days a little. On the flip side, now we sometimes get to eat tastier, more grown-up meals!

Have fun!
