This is the typical space mountain pic, if you zoom in you can see many new welds.

LOVE the Monobeam! :D That's seriously clean! Make the rest look like that!:sohappy:

And LOVE the SSE. :D

Makes me wonder what the deal is with cleaning only one beam. Perhaps some outside vendor cleaned one beam to try and sell Disney on their steam cleaning service?

I was wondering the same thing. Never seen them before!

I don't have a memory of what was there before versus what is there now, but they are lights inside a plastic container. There were also spinning lights inside the arcade (not from video games).

Cool shot with the rainbow over Imagination!

I wonder if they replaced or painted the beam?

That looks like a complete cleaning and wayyyyyyyyyy overdue. But at least it is done right! :)

Adds to list of aesthetic changes.

This round definitely goes to Epcot.

And MK is penalized a point for making what should be new status boards into a merchandise stand.

up close it looks smoother than the other beams almost as if there were concrete repairs

I have to agree. I'm hoping this was a "test" of the method they intend to use to clean all the beams. They used to be part of the futuristic EPCOT themeing, but they've really become something of an eyesore. My last few visits I've wondered why Disney let them get that grungy. A good cleaning will go a long way to improve the visuals in FW.
