Fishermans Stew, Cinnimon Chicken, and Whole Rosted fish look pretty good.

But then that depends on what the fish is. Could be trash eating bottom feeder

And a personal peeve. Freaking "tinis" Choco, apple, spice, mint, ...... and now Ouzo

Call me a purist, call me a snob, Gin and a splash of vermouth. OK, I'll tolerate vodka (unflavored) and vermouth as well.

Sorry - just a pet peeve of mine.

Hey I hear ya Dave. We were at Marrakesh in June and this pain in the butt woman who after refusing 2 other tables finally settled on a table near us insisted on having an apple martini to drink. The poor waiter (who was our waiter as well although we ended up being served by another waiter as he was co-opted by this pain in the woman the whole meal) didn't even know if they had the ingredients to make an apple martini. He had to go and speak to the CMs working the bar/kitchen on the other side of the restaurant to see if they had the proper ingredients. HELLO! You're in Marrakesh, try one of their drinks.

I have to say, that seeing this I am glad I cancelled my ADR there. The lamb burger looks great, but outside of that it looks like stuff I could never stomach.

I still don't understand the idea of putting a whole cooked fish on a plate. How can that be good? Too used to fillet and fry as we do it in my region.

To each his own, but I am just really not into food made to look good, rather than taste good to me personally.

Fish on the bone tastes (and looks) good.

Really, whole roast fish is wonderful.

You want fun, try a roast chicken with the head on - I have had that as well. Along with the pickled jellyfish and fish swim bladder soup. That was an excellent meal. Food likes me, I like food.

If people want to drink it, thats cool with me. It just seems that anybody who makes an original cocktail calls it a "blank"-tini.

Instead of some original name, they just take whatever they added to vodka and stick -tini on the end.

I know quite a few people that will not eat fish if the head is not on it. Many people believe that it is the blood in fish that gives you the best flavor and naturally when you strip a fish down to a fillet all the blood is gone. Haven eaten fish both ways head on without question produces a different flavor. Whether that different flavor is is good or not is up the you but it is one of those things that falls into the don't knock it till you try it category.

When it comes to drinks marketing is almost more important that flavor. You could make the best mixed drink in the world and call it a Phonedave special and you wont sell one of them. However, if you color it blue call it a dave-tini and you will sell 200 a night.

I prefer my animals to be fully slaughtered, and not just knocked over the head and warmed thanks

Seriously I understand and respect some people enjoy it, and more power to ya, but I don't enjoy food presented in such a manner myself.

You need to add two more things to the dave-tini to make it a seller.

Add some atrifical fruit flavors and a good lug of simple syrup.

I know, my snobby side is showing :) But I really think that if people would take the time to appreciate the flavors some things have, such as good gin. They would no longer turn to the sweetened fruity drinks.

Much like those who have make the change from a Zima to somthing better. :)

Oh and you would sell at least one - I would by it. It could be dishwater in a cracked glass, but if I ever see a "Phonedave special" listed at a bar, I am getting one.
