It seems like Spaceship Earth went thru four narrators. Which was your favorite, Vic Perrin, Walter Cronkite, Jeremy Irons, or Judi Dench.

I would rate MY personal list this way.
1 Jeremy Irons(I love listening to the ride narration on my computer)
2 Walter Cronkite (Just barely falls to number 2)
3 Vic Perrin
4 Dame Judi Dench (Just to hard to hear no matter how I sit in vehicle.Needs to be a deeper speaking voice....Patrick Stewart or Morgan Freeman in my humble opinion would be good)

Jeremy Irons I think was the all time best spaceship narrator and should of called him back for this new spaceship earth. The new one is mad friendly and positive but his tone realey kept you listening.

I didn't mind the change so much of the narrator but the new one just isn't really memorable in my opinion.I love Dame Judi as a actress but she just wasn't the right fit in my book.

I've noticed this before and thought it was just me, but you are right, it's hard to hear her. I noticed that when I ride this, I hardly pay attention to her. I'll pick up bits and pieces of what she's saying, thats about it. The narration really needs to be more captivating.

You nailed my sentiments perfectly. Though I'd choose Patrick Stewart. Margan Freeman is in the HoP. Plus I'd love hearing 'Captain Picard' give the "Like a grand and miraculous space ship..." intro.:lookaroun

I never got to see Walter Cronkite's version or the first version. Personally I did not enjoy Dame Judy Dench's version much. I associate Jeremy Iron's voice with scar but I found it to fit the attraction well. Therefore my favorite voice over for the ride is Jeremy Iron's version

Jeremy Irons is awesome. I'd put Cronkite next...

I think Ian McKellan would be another good option I'd add him to the list with Morgan Freeman and Patrick Stewart!

I thought everyone was going to say walter cronkite. Did th they change it when they replaced phoneline station with the globe thing.

For me its jeremy 1st and walter 2nd. Does anybody have audio of the Vic Perrin narration? I dont think i ever heard his narration. Regardless i love the ride just wish they would bring back the green roman chariots riding out in the background on the Rome scene.

I am surprised that no one has mentioned the Larry Dobkins =Vic Perrin debacle, yet.

Irons for me.:D LOVED Walter, but Irons was the VOICE of SSE for the most of my childhood. The opening line gives me chills.

Dench is a worthy successor, but the script is what holds her back.
