Things These Boards Make You Forget

One has to admit, the members of this site get pretty elitist at points, especially on certain topics. What's something this board has made you forgotten and/or ashamed you liked?

I'll go first: I forgot how much I like Stitch as a character. After reading all the stitch-bashing on this site leading up to my trip, I thought he was a pest...however, after arriving in WDW this week I realized how much I like the lil fella.

Also I think Monsters Inc Laugh Floor and Test Track are very fun. (Let the flaming begin )

How about you?

I like the current version of Imagination. Sure, it isn't near as good as the first version, but I really enjoy the present incarnation of the ride.

I also found myself enjoying Stitch's Great Escape this past trip.... :lookaroun

I'll tell you next week. My first visit back to the MK since 2006 and joining this site will be quite influential on me...:D

The key is to read what you wish and then block/tune out the stuff that takes the magic away from your trips. Even when the boards take a negative turn for the worse, it's the last thing occupying my thoughts when I'm actually IN The World.

It's okay to love Stitch. It's okay to have a favorite attraction that isn't one of the 'norms' that most like. We're all here because of a common bond - A love of Walt Disney World.

I also thought the new JII wasn't all that bad. And SGE isn't a bad attraction either. I loved AE (I have a few pins dating back to its early years which I hold very dearly) but I'll even admit it was too intense for MK. Had it not been for its predecessor, I don't think SGE would recieve so much hate

Well said.:D The only WDWMagic thoughts I have are those related to picture taking and if anything is news worthy.

I agree, and honestly I think a lot of the attraction-bashing and accompanying piling-on can be attributed to times when it's a "slow news day," as it were. When there's not much to discuss aside from refurbs and unconfirmed rumors, the claws come out a little faster. When there's something interesting/exciting on the horizon, people generally seem to be a lot more positive (see the recent "New Fantasyland" topic and accompanying discussion).

It IS very hard not to be critical of things when you are at the Kingdom..I am..and so are you..only human. When groups or certain individuals break in line, or are too loud, it CAN be overlooked if you just try to "see" something around the corner or the bend. I have so many very good memories of CMs doing the little things that made up for these things...or a certain visitor..or that matter a child saying or doing something that could have been missed! THAT is what will and can NOT be taken away from me!

Yes, I am a Disney Elitist.

I believe in 5 minute lines, i believe in polite guests, i believe in the magic of the world, the seven guest service guidelines as well as Safety, Courtesy, Efficiency and show. I expect good cast members and first rate entertainment. I expect my resort to be first rate, my wine to be cold and my cheese to be good. I believe in key-card access to the floor where my room is. I believe that I should have stayed in Cinderella's Castle suite (and made Jeff go get me a hamburger at 3AM.) I believe that there is magic in the world and simply a past that never was and never will be is no way to enjoy it.

Your point?

That Mr. Toad's Wild Ride was pure evil
EPCOT can still be fun
That I like the current JII
That I like most of the character additions to the attractions
and yeah, I like Stitch too. But he works best in small healthy doses
