New Space Mountain Logo Official?

There have been several pins circulating for Space Mountain featuring a logo not used at WDW. Yesterday I found a limited edition pin that used the same logo and specifically mentioned Walt Disney World. Does this mean the new logo is official? Sure seems like it...

Those are old pins, the release dates are 2007 and before.

If you look at the detail of each pin pictured, you can see that it says Walt Disney World on them. While I am not a pin collector or trader, I would think that this would indicate these are pins for the Space Mountain in WDW and not Disneyland or Hong Kong Disneyland. There is a release date listed for each pin on the pictures as well, so I would have to agree with Palofmickey that these are prior releases for the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. Pictures of the new pins would be great to see though.

Are you perhaps refering to this logo? This pin was released on May 19 of this year.

A very similar logo was used on a Disneyland pin released last year.

Looks like they got rid of the "Mission:" in the "Mission: SPACE" logo and slapped the word "Mountain" to the bottom of it.

I hope not! That would definitely be the worst decision Disney would ever make.

The Stitch character does not belong in a classy attraction like Space Mountain.

I just do not get the fascination that Disney seems to have with Stitch. I used to like getting the wake up calls from Mickey, then they added Stitch screaming in the phone. AE was changed to a SGE. And then there was the bomb this summer with the stage show. Now he might be on the SM pins?

What's next? Stitchland instead of Tomorrowland?

Yes, but apparently, Stitch is that popular.

Now if there is another character besides Stitch, Buzz, or Mike that can be used as a model, I would be a happy one indeed.
