Are you a participator?

Personally, I think one of my favorite things about WDW is that you can join in the show! Are you and your family participators? Or do you generally just sit back and watch?

For example, my family and I ALWAYS jump into the act at the Adventurer's Club (:( RIP) by chiming in or getting up on stage. Also over the years, my mom was Ethel and my brother and I rode the bee in Superstar Television. My parents got soaked on the boat/storm scene in Backlot Tour and I was an extra in the Indiana Jones Stunt Show!

I love getting picked for things. I've been the captain and mechanic for Backlot Tour, and I've also been picked as an extra for Indiana Jones (that was awsome).

I will do just about anything.

However, if it involves dancing .... Well, I will do it, but I can't be held responsible for scarring children for life. I HAVE been the guy who "has the urge to get up and dance" at MILF. Lets just say it was not pretty.

You too? :ROFLOL:

I had the crowd roaring once I broke out the sprinkler and the running man. :D

I've tried, but alas no luck at getting picked or even relatively noticed. :(

Best way to get noticed I have found is to act as loud and obnoxious as possible. (Jump up and down, wave your arms, scream, that kind of thing)Thats how I got picked for Indy. I actually jumped up before she even finished asking for volunteers! First one down :)

I always enjoyed shouting suggestions at the comedy warehouse. They once asked for a type of music and I shouted "polka" (since I am from the land of cheese and beer)the guy laughed and they used it, but they really had no idea what to play on the Keyboard. It was kinda funny.

I rather just chill out and enjoy the show. Not really interested in participating. I was involved in the bee thing with some other kid when I was younger though, was fun.

I should also add that I dont like when people are picked randomly for things and there is a chance I could get roped into something. I dont even like being on camera at the Laugh Floor. I just like to watch the fun also.

I got picked to dance at DAK in Africa near the Jawa Bar. That woman can really shake her thing! I felt like an idiot, but had a blast:lol:.
DS got picked for Jedi Training, he was beyond thrilled (he had been practicing for months).
DH and I seem to get picked for everything! When we stayed at Nickhotel, we got picked for all of the messy games, and we were trying to hide:lol:

We prefer to watch. My son is afraid he'll be 'that guy' at Monsters Inc. so we always sit in the back of the room. Years ago the kids both were chosen on the Backstage tour to ride the giant Bee and pretend they were flying.

Thanks to my bright pink camera, I got picked to participate in the Flights of Wonder show at DAK. They asked fo volunteers with cameras, so I held mine up and the guy said "You! With the pink camera!" Another woman and I were instructed to sit on stage, cameras ready, and take a picture of this big vulture-like bird (forget what it's called) as it flew right at us. With the thing coming at me I forgot to take the photo until the last minute, so it came out really poorly. I did get a Magical Moment certificate that said "Bird Encounter" though, which just cracks me up.

Back when I was a teenager, my dad to myself and my little sister to the parks...And by chance we were both picked to do the backlot tour show...
(I know I know) but we thought it was sooooo awesome at the time.

Best part about the whole thing. I got to push the button that 'blew the boat she was on up' with fire and all... She acted all cool and everything saying she was so brave and all...and then she just was actually nervous about the whole thing..

I loved it.

My DH is the one that will be part of something. My DD was picked a few yrs ago in AK to be part of the Acrobat act, then afterwards when the show was over all the men in the show wanted to have their picture taken with her.

I got picked to be the butler who got hit in the face with a pie in the Three Stooges skit at Superstar TV, my uncle pointed at me when I wasn't looking and they picked me. I got to sit in the control room on the boat that soaked me with water at the Backlot tour, I was just standing in front of the line with my friend and they just came up to us and asked if we wanted to do it. I also got picked to be a contestant on Lets Make a Deal, had to show some to do with with a Disney movie and the park guide had 1 in it so I showed it and they accepted it.
