Disney Pictures 1973

My first time at the magic Kingdom was back in December of 1973 at the age of 7. I can barely remember much from the trip, but some of the things that stand out in my memory are 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea, the Monorail and a few other things we did during the trip. My father only took a few pictures during the trip and we have only four pictures that were taken at the Magic Kingdom. The pictures are of my brother and I and in the pictures I am the one on the right. I still have the Mickey Mouse button I wore that day.

Here is a link to the album showing those pictures.

My first time back to the Magic Kingdom wasn't until August of 2007. In all those years I didn't change much and look much the same. :ROFLOL:

I did go to some of the other parks before 2007. I went to Epcot back in 1988 and again in 1992, 1994, 1998 & 1999. I hit MGM Studios back in 1991, 1997 & 1999. In 2007 along with going to the Magic Kingdom I did go to Epcot & MGM and in 2008 I went twice once in August and again the week after Christmas and brought in the New Year at Epcot.

Adorable then, adorable now! My first trip was in January of 72, when I was 6, so I guess we're about the same age. It was so magical! I have some photos, but no scanner. Anyway, they look a lot like yours, Christmas tree and all!

Just curious...on all those other trips before 2007, why did you not go to MK? Were you saving that for a honeymoon, first time with the kids, etc?

I would love to have gone back then. But nooooo, my parents wouldn't take us. At least my kid's don't have to worry about that.

Nice pictures, I wished I had done that or my parents when I was there for the first time. I am sure I can find pictures dating back to at least 81'.
Thanks for sharing and I don't think you changed much either. Ahh maybe just a bit taller hehehe..~Tinkerchelli~

pooh existed in 73'?

I had no idea Disney had rights to Pooh in '73

I know Sears and Roebuck did at that time. My dad worked for Sears and we used to have loads of WTP merch as kids.

I also happend to have a picture of myself and a friend of mine circa 1974, and my friend is wearing the almost exact same pants as the OP is in those pictures. Ah, 70's fashions :)

In the 90s I was in my 20s & early 30s and just didn't fell like going to the Magic Kingdom as I remember it being just for kids. Of course I changed my mind when I finally went back in 2007 and decided to go to the Magic Kingdom.
