Best Bar or Lounge

I will be getting married at Disney World on August 31st. We have a noon wedding, so the reception will be over at 6 PM. Many of the guests, myself, and my future wife will want to hang out at one of Disney's bars or lounges. What would be the best location for this taking into account that our guests will be staying at the Contemporary, Port Orleans Riverside, and my wife and I will be staying at the Boardwalk Inn? We we will need a place that is convenient to get back to for all guests if possible.

Many bars close early around WDW.

PI is of course open.

Also, Jellyrolls is right at the Boardwalk and a load of fun. OF course you can walk to it, but others may have to call a cab. Of course it being your honeymoon night, I doubt you want to let people crash in your room after toasting your nuptuials.

First - congratulation on your upcoming wedding.

How about the lounge at The Wave, located on the first floor of the Contemporary? It's classy and big (seats 60).

It will require bus transport to DTD, but you could spend the evening at Adventurer's Club....and you can say goodbye to it as well....

As was said, Jellyrolls is fun, not crazy about ESPN. Waves sounds interesting. There is another piano bar at POR, boat drinks at the O'hana bar, a quiet bar on the second floor of GF.

Yes, and congrats on your upcoming wedding!
Where are you having it?
We will expect pictures!

I'd vote for the Tambu Lounge at the Polynesian.

It's close to the GF.
The drinks are the best in all of WDW (Island Sunset:p)
It's a beautiful, yet laid back, fun setting.

There are about ten seats at the bar, a half dozen tables, but it can spill out into seats/tables in the Ceremonial house common area.

Since everything seems to be taking place at GF, I suggest Mizner's Lounge on the second floor of the Grand Floridian. It's very laid back and relaxed. Great views of the courtyard, the small band plays right outside on the balcony plus there are lots of seating areas outside of the lounge itself where people can mingle.

I would go with the Tambu Lounge and then move down to the Barefoot pool bar for wishes viewing, and well then you may want to retire to your room and finish your wedding celebrations. :lookaroun :D

I second this suggestion - I like this bar. Great view - monorail overhead. Classic Disney.

Congratulations from me too!

Go visit Bob at POR. He is a absolute riot.

He IS fun, if you're looking for entertainment as well as a spot for cocktails! If you're just looking for a spot to meet - but a change of scene from the GF - I'd go with the Tambu lounge at the Polynesian.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

Is the ESPN Club on the Boardwalk any good?
Nobody ever mentions it as being a favorite place.

:)

It tends to be very loud and crowded. Any time there is a significant sporting event on...like playoffs or football Saturdays and Sundays....it's tough to fight your way to the bar to get a beer just to stand with.

No, not my favorite place. And with all that, and people standing around the area...I can't imagine having a meal there.

The bar at the Animal Kingdom swimming pool is awesome. I do not know what time they close. Just one of my favorite stops. Maybe you could call the bar and they will stay open for your party? You have the savanna to view while you party on!!!
