I didn't think it was raw. It was limp, though, and I would say it was just barely cooked but on the okay side of that line. I don't eat a lot of bacon, but my husband likes it just this side of burnt. He still enjoyed it, though.

Actually, you can see bacon in my avatar on my son's plate.

Its difficult to serve crispy bacon on a buffet because it gets broken up easily with so many people grabbing for it. If you asked I'm sure they would prepare some crispy for you.

Now that you mention it, my wife and I have had this conversation. It does not bother me as much as her, but it could be more done.

WDW makes bacon just how I like it. I am not a big fan of crispy bacon. I much prefer thick cut bacon that still chews like meat. Some people like it that was, it's perfectly fine and will not hurt you (rawness wise, cholestrol and fat and nitrates are a different matter)

As someone said before, its as handling thing. "non-crispy" bacon does not break up in buffet lines or under the heat lamps in the kitchen.

I have found that it's completely hit or miss with bacon on the buffets. I'm a huge crisp bacon fan... nearly burnt is fine with me! Sometimes I've found some great crispy bacon on the buffets... sometimes it's floppy. From what I recall, 1900 Park Fare had some great bacon!

And of course it not only varies from restaurant from restaurant, but from batch to batch. You never know what you're gonna get!

I think it is hit or miss as well. However, raw bacon is perfectly safe to eat. I think it is disgusting but my wife eats raw bacon a lot. :)

I like bacon. Period. Soggy or crispy... it's good to me! :D

Sometimes at Disney the bacon is soggy, and sometimes it's crispy. Different restaurants do it differently. I don't know which restaurants serve which, however.

I'm the same way Dave. Especially when I cut it myself off of the slab. I even eat it uncooked from the slab. However, I do like my pancetta cooked crisply.

By the way, bacon is technically not 'raw'. It is previously smoked/cured.

I love bacon that's so crispy it shatters when you hit it with a fork. But it's darn-near impossible in a buffet setting.

Turkey bacon is made from beaks wings and spinal columns Ill take my chances with the pork of death.

Besides your bacon is scragg end compared to proper gear.

Not old, just vintage.
I like bacon as crispy as it can get before it bursts in to flames. Disney bacon in general (not just from the buffets) is a letdown for me. To me, the bacon might as well be walking around the room oinking it is so raw. I learned many years ago to not even bother with trying to eat it in Disney.
