I'm the same way Dave. Especially when I cut it myself off of the slab. I even eat it uncooked from the slab. However, I do like my pancetta cooked crisply.
By the way, bacon is technically not 'raw'. It is previously smoked/cured.
MMMmmmmm, slab bacon. I am a big fan of all sorts of "raw" food. If I do eat bacon without heating it, I need to trim the fat off. I just don't like chewing on fat.
