I was wondering, why did Disney World get rid of Mr. Toad's Wild Ride???

It does still exist at Disneyland, and to be perfectly honest it's not a very good ride.

The WDW 1971 version looked too much like it was still 1971... very fun but very dated. Kids new more about Pooh than Toad, Pooh would fit the direction of Fantasyland better, R&D could be shared with Anahiem and they could fit in a large shop at the exit.

I was really disappointed when they removed this ride. My brother and my favorite you can even see mr toad give owl the deed to the building in winnie the pooh but that doesn't make it any better.

It closed for one simple reason. The guest counts were too low. When people stop riding an attraction they are revamped or replaced. In Toad's case replaced was WDW's solution.

I agree with you Merf. It had been since the mid-90s since I had ridden it at WDW and last summer went to Disneyland and rode Mr. Toads.

I was surprised with all of the praise that is garnered upon it, how subpar it was compared to Pooh.

Makes you wonder how many other attractions that are currently praised are more a figment of nostalgia (that would be Figment with a beard and cane I guess:lol.

I agree with that but at the same time, that's what keeps me coming back. Its the mix of the new and old that makes it perfect!
