So I am bored....and when I am bored I start random threads..:)

I am being nosy (as usual) and wanted to know what everyone was having for dinner or supper? (whatever you may call the evening meal)

Let us start posting every night if we can and maybe we can get some ideas from each other..:)

So if you see something that sounds yummy :slurp: that someone posts..ask for the recipe and they can post it here and we can all get some new and delicious meals..:)

Tonight...

I made Turkey Parmesean with whole wheat pasta and steamed zucchini and squash for dinner..:slurp:..it was very good..

So..tell me..What is cooking?:D

Well...
You might get a lot of corn beef and cabbage, or ham and cabbage answers tonight.
That's what we had...ham and cabbage!

That does sound really good! :slurp: Cholesterol checks are Wed so we are slimming down the menu this week.

I made skinless BBQ chicken, asparagus and brussels sprouts and smart-balance instead of butter. For dessert = fat free jello pudding!

Great thread! I'm always looking for new dinner ideas.
Very simple dinner at my house tonight because I've been sick for a week: homemade baked chicken nuggets, rice, mixed veggies and garlic bread.

Had the corned beef and cabbage for lunch at the diner - I'm the only one here who likes it- and I had stir fried veggies and brown rice for dinner.

And Dana, cooking cabbage is easy. You quarter it and then steam it till its tender. Don't boil it or :hurl:... its one of those veggies thats not very good when its over cooked. You can make coleslaw, add it to salads or stir fry it with some leftover chicken and carrots, etc...there are so many combos.

We ate at the in law's... potatoes and pork chops, some veggies.

I will go ahead and answer for tomorrow night... it'll be pasta and meatballs and garlic bread.

Some kind of South Beach frozen turkey dinner with peppers, rice and green beans and bottled water.

(Does the fact that I immediately chased it with a PB&J sandwich lose me "healthy" points? I considered the Fruity Pebbles for a moment.) :lookaroun

We had porkchops, scalloped potatoes and asparagus.

Tomorrow is our Take Out Tuesday night. Maybe Chinese while we watch Enchanted :)
