Do you think they will ever offer the Photo Pass option during character meals? :veryconfu
It would be nice to have the convienience of not having to take pics during a meal.
Has this ever been done?

I thought the same thing. It would be so nice to have that option. We love having our whole family in the pictures and I would hate to even ask someone to stop their family meal to take my picture. I vote for a PhotoPass photographer with EVERY character that's in the parks. :]

Some character meals have a PhotoPass photographer in the front to take pictures with a character or backdrop. The only character ones I can think of are CRT (Cinderella) and Norway (it depends). CRT package comes with the meal, Norway is extra. Then CM does a picture with a backdrop. Not sure if it is free or not. I do believe this is going to be as much PhotoPass you will see at character meals.

No the picture at Norawy is not free. When we went back during Christmas of 2005 we had luck at Norway and get our picture with human Ariel. I had the photographer take a picture with my camera as well. About 10-15 min later a person came to our table asking us if we wanted to purchase a photo package (8X10, 5X7, a few wallets, and a keychain) I think the price was like $40, I could be wrong. We said no thank you.

Plus, think about it. It's hard enough for the characters to sometimes get through the aisles at the restaurants, adding a photographer would be way too chaotic. If you don't like taking pictures, then get a disposable. That's what I use. They're fast and easy.

At Chef Mickey's they take your family photo when you arrive with a back drop. They later stop at your table while you are eating and try to sell a pacakge - a 5x7 of your family, a 5x7 of the characters that greeted you during your meal, 4 wallets. It was between $30-$40 - I don't recall exactly. I told them I want to think about it and to stop back - they never did. I ended up seeking out the employees to buy the photo. :o I wish there could be a photo pass photographer with at least a couple during the character dining.
