My DS6 said to my husband last night, "Daddy, you know we're not really staying at POR, right? We're really staying at WL!" :ROFLOL: My husband didn't believe him at first, he even thought I was in on the joke when he asked me if it was true, but when I showed him the confirmation on the WDW letterhead, he got so excited.:sohappy: Honestly, I'm surprised that we all held out from telling him for this long, so DH now knows and is even more excited for Aug. to get here.

How funny!!! You never know what kids will say.

Now your DH has even more to look forward to. Tell him to consider it part of his father's day gift!

I am waiting for my husband to spill the beans! We have not told our 18 year old daughter and 11 year old son that we are doing to WDW the first week of August. The other night my husband says to me (with our son in the room) "So when are we going to tell them?" Well that took some fancy foot work when our son said "tell us what?". I told him that we are going camping during that time. As for suprising them - the day before we are leaving while they are packing I am going to hand them each an envelope and tell them "oh yeah you are doing to need these on vacation". Inside of the envelope is a Disney Gift card with a message that says "Pack your bags....we are going to Disney!". ......Now if I can keep the husband quiet! :zipit:

DW AND 2 DD, 18 and 14, will be there in 16 days! We have kept it a secret since last November, I have went to GREAT links to keep it a secret Lots of disinformation...Found a Hotel/resort in Key West printed pictures of it, and nearby actractions, even did a fake Yahoo map with driving directions to the Hotel in Key West and left it "accidentally" laying on the table for them to secretly find. :lookaroun Have sent "clues" to there MySpace accounts, all true pictures of real WDW area, resorts beachs etc and have just convinced them it is South Florida with out ever saying it was South Florida. :fork:
Will be the 1st trip for DD 14 she wants to believe it is WDW but went a little extra and had 1 of her friends parents assist me with the disinformation and "leak" our destination out to her daughter who called my DD with the news that we were going to Key West! Just can't wait!!!! 16 DAYS

You can say that again!

WHAT? Wasn't that bad, not like I lied to them or anything:lookaroun
Beside's 18 yo DD graduated 3 weeks ago and during Thanksgiving Break last year she had made a comment bout how'd she would love to go back to WDW so it just all kinda fell together....It'll be a HUGE surprise for them:sohappy:
Beside she grew up on me too fast, seems like yesterday she was 10 and we were at MK for the first time, I turned around and she was no longer my little girl...Its gonna be so much fun, it has been extremely difficult to not tell them but it'll be worth it...:ROFLOL:

I'm gonna have to keep some of your ideas in mind for when my kids are older. I know what you mean about them growing up too fast. Sometimes I wish I could just push a "pause" button and keep them little forever!:animwink:
