I've been to WDW a countless number of times, but have yet to eat at 1900 Park Fare. This trip, beginning next week, we are going to have breakfast there. I thought that I read somewhere that Mary Poppins and friends are the characters present. Is this true? Also, how would you rate the restaurant? (Note, we typically eat at Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace, and Ohana).

Thanks for your input...its greatly appreciated!

I was there last summer, Mary Poppins, pooh, tiger and Alice in wonderland were there. The restaurant was nice and the food was good, I would recomend it for breakfast.

I saw Mary Poppins, Mad Hatter, Pooh , Tigger, and Alice there as well. It was one of the better breakfast that we had this trip. The restaurant is nice(my husband thought that it would be nicer since it was in the GF) and there are mickey waffles and made to order omelets. The wait staff was very good and it moved quickly so that we could eat, see characters and get to MK. And it was great walking around the GF, since we've never stayed there.

The last time I ate there was back in 2005. I thought the food at CP was better - with a larger selection as well. I can't remember all the characters that were there, but I remember the Queen of Hearts at the entrance (her dress was too big to have her walking throughout the restaurant), and the evil queen as the old hag from Snow White (she tried to give me an apple:eek: ) and the Mad Hatter.

I've never done 1900 yet I'm planning on doing the breakfast when we're next at "The World" - so I'm keeping an eye on the thread for peoples opinions :)
It sounds like a great place to eat

How fun! :) I wish they still had the queen there!

I have heard that Mary Poppins appears during the b'fast.
We have eaten at 1900 PF for the dinner buffet & we enjoyed it.

We ate there during Thanksgiving weekend of 2005 and recently ate at Cape May Cafe for breakfast. Of the two, I prefer 1900's food selection. Of the two, I prefer Cape May's character interaction and rotations or however you want to call it. I really enjoyed 1900 though and it's a great excuse to visit GF  Enjoy it!

BTW, when we were there Mary Poppins was outside greeting guests (not in her Jolly Holiday outfit but the other one) and not doing the rounds.

Have fun :sohappy:

In March 1900 had Mary Poppins in the lobby and Pooh, Tigger, Alice, and Mad Hatter in the dining area.
In my opinion 1900 has the best breakfast - no other breakfast buffet has an omelet station, so not only can you get omelets here but they are fresh!

Was that when they used to do a "villians" meal there? That would be so cool....and something different. I wonder why they stopped having those characters?

We just did this in March, and Mary Poppins was posing for photos in the lobby, while Alice, Tigger, Winnie the Pooh and the Mad Hatter were circulating in the dining room. The food was great, and the characters were a lot of fun! Definitely worth a visit.:sohappy:
