Does anyone else feel...

...like there is no one else they can talk to (in person, not on the boards) about how much you LOVE WDW? I feel like everyone just does not quite get it. I know people that LIKE it, but I have yet to meet someone who REALLY gets the magic, you know? My husband likes it, but not nearly as much as me. I think I need a support group! :ROFLOL:

Yes! I've talked 3 friends into going to WDW in October. I've been driving them crazy with all of the details. My husband doesn't get it, my kids put up with it and everyone else thinks I'm crazy! I wish I had just one person that loves Disney as much as I do to talk to.

My name is Kenny (Hi Kenny says you.) and I'm a Disneyholic. :king: I haven't had a Disney visit since December, but already have plans to continue my addiction for one in June at a totally different park, DL in CA. Am I cheating on WDW because of the Dream Job? I could use some advice with my twice yearly multiple thousand dollar a year addiction. :D Anyone got a few bucks I could spare? :lookaroun

I definitely felt like that before my college program! I would encourage you to work there for a while and you will come across lots of Disney fans (and some Disney anti-fans). Or, try searching for facebook groups and see if there's anyone from your school that you know!

Looks like a new suport group is starting.

My Name is Ed (waits) And my next trip is not till Oct 2008 (:brick:) I also can not talk to any one about it, well because its a secret. I am taking my DD and my DM meeting my DS and her DH. DS and I have been planning this for a year now and have a year and a half to go. but can't talk about it cause it will be they're christmas present. SO I prowl the boards and get my fix till I can get on that plane and fly my butt down to WDW.

The family and I have been going every year since 97, and have a total of 15 visits. We have told a number of people about it, some go AGAIN?? And others just go that's nice. But then there are the few who after they go realize why we go soooooo often. For instance our neighbor and her son are going tomorrow for week. Then, last Nov. we took my DW's brother and family, less than a week after we were there I was talking with my sister-in-law and without prompting her she said she wants to go back. To which my response was, now you know why we go so often. We were there the second week of April and already have half the plans for the first week of July. And then maybe we will go for a long weekend in Dec? It all depends on whether or not we have the $$$ for airfare.

Hi Beckie, have you made ammends this week for those you may have wounded by not taking them to Disney?

Hey guys, please make sure all this top secret info doesn't go beyond our little meeting here. Confidientiality is important for our meetings. We wouldn't want this to spread to the internet or anything like that.

I know EXACTLY what you mean. When I got home from my CP, I wanted to show all my family and friends my scrapbook and they all looked at it, but they were not "wowed".....I just didn't understand why they didn't see the wonderful magic that is disney.

I do have some of CP friends who, obviously, "get it" and we talk Disney ALL THE TIME. It's fantastic b/c we all get excited about the tiny things thats going on with disney, when everyone else is just like "yeah...okay"

Actually, there is a family at my church that goes to WDW almost (but not quite!) as much as our family does. They "get" us and we "get" them. And we're planning a joint trip for 2008! :sohappy:

I'm a Disney freak. My wife is a Disney freak. My cousin and her family are Disney freaks. We have planned a trip together in Nov/Dec. I can talk to my cousin and her husband and my wife about my problem. I only regret that I can't go as much as I want because of the Corps. Problem is I'm still in Iraq....Be home soon though.

If people haven't been to WDW you can't talk to them about how great
it is, yeah sure, you can try but they'll never understand about how GREAT it is until they expierience it for themselves.

I have found that the more I go... the worse I get. I get excited when anyone talks about Disney. I just love it. There really is something special about that place that gets to us. I think it is Magic.

I'm so bad with all the disney boards and websites at my nighttime pediatric nursing home job that the nurse and my friend filled out a psychiatric evaluation just for me. They hung it where the supervisor could see it and they all laughed. Its a joke to them that I spend my free time online looking at what is new and interesting about WDW.
