POR boat?

Does the boat still run to FQ and DTD? If so, what is the ETA to the arrival of each of these places? As a FQ guest, are you free to board to go to DTD? How late does it run?

Boats run in a regular circuit between POR, FQ and DTD. In my opinion they are more regular and with a shorter trip than busses. It's also a much nicer ride. I would say plan on about 20 minutes travel. Original docking is all the way on the Saratoga Springs side of DTD, but they are talking about a second dock at Pleasure Island. Don't know if that is operating yet.

On my last stay there, the boat to FQ ran from 9 am to 9 pm, while the boat to DTD ran 4 pm to 11 pm. I don't think the hours of operation have changed.

I think the hours H@OBarbie said are right. However im not so sure that they are faster than the busses. Everytime I have taken it it was a great ride but it seemed to take a while. Last summer we departed POR marina, made a stop at PORFQ then to DTD. We were sitting at the PORFQ dock for a good 7 minutes or so. I think on the return trip they go straight to POR. Other factors are how many rental craft are on the waterways, some go way to slow, some go way to fast(causing lager boats to slow because of wake) and generally do not follow rules of navigation generally because they dont know any better.

Interesting.. didn't know about this boat before I saw someone mention it here. Does anyone know... can you board these boats if you're staying at a resort other than SSR, FQ, and POR?

Sure, it's just a question of how badly to you want to take the boat ride.

Let's say you're staying at Boardwalk. You'll have to either drive to PO-R or FQ, boat to DTD, boat back to PO then drive back to Boardwalk. OR go to a park, take the bus to PO-R or FQ, then boat to DTD, and bus it back to Boardwalk.

If you're going to do the latter, I'd suggest doing something at PO (or SSR or OKW) first. Dinner reservations, or reserve a time for a horse-drawn carriage ride. Even a DVC tour of SSR.
