well...I get how they got there....40/5 (for 5 times as many) which equals 8. But I don't know the formula.I'd love some help.![]()
Here's the question:
A High School has five times as many black-and-white monitors as color monitors. The school has 40 black-and-white monitors for computers. How many color monitors does the school have?
The answer is 8 color monitors.
I just don't know how they got that. :veryconfu
Kansas City Shuffle is from Lucky # Slevin.
I can't remember exactly how they stated it, but you make "them" look right, while you come in from the left or something.
Maybe you just have to watch the movie :lol:

Here's the question:

So, in other words, 5 times the number of colors = the number of B&W
Mathematically that would be written as 5C = 40
so C= 40/5 which = 8!
The answer is 8 color monitors.
I just don't know how they got that. :veryconfu
Could it be written like this???
40 = 8
5x
No, write it as 5X = 40, then you divide each side by 5 (to get X by itself)to give you X = 8Could it be written like this???
40 = 8
5x
