I'm having a nostalgia ache. I just walked through my old middle school, and man do I miss it. Everything seemed so laid back and calm there compared to the insane craziness of High School. The last time I had been there was on the last day of eighth grade. Has anyone ever done this?

Yes! As an adult, I had the opportunity to go back to my grade school. As soon as I walked in the door, the smell of chalk dust and floor wax hit me in the face! It smelled exactly as I remember it! That was amazing! Then visiting all of my old classrooms, which suddenly looked so small, was very nostalgic!

I had the opportunity to teach in my old middle school about 30 years after I had been a student there. I couldn't get over how small it had got....
