Happy Farm Market and Maple Syrup Saturday. Dh's parents didn't make their annual trip to Vermont this year so today dh and I are heading to a localish place to get syrup for the family. This person has excellent prices so a small bottle will go in some of the Christmas baskets I'm putting together along with some maple candy. Dh's parents and a cousin want us to pick up larger quantities, of course we're getting a half gallon for us:banghead:
Looking forward to receiving our hamper

Here you go. Although I can't imagine why anyone would want a hamper for Christmas . . . 🤔 ;)

So wow . . . some snazzy vehicles in the Mecum Las Vegas auction today . . . :jawdrop:

On Mecum.com there will be a Live Block Cam, and (I think, not sure) that you just press on the YouTube button on the Mecum.com web site to view--for free?--when the floor opens for the auction. The PAY options are ESPN+, or also if people have the Roku Channel (Mecum TV) -- ? Whatever . . . 🤷‍♀️

Thanks, Minnie, I’ll pull it up on YouTube here in a bit…!!! :)
A lotta’ fun stuff there, but you know me, I’m into the antique and vintage cars/vehicles (from about 1975 on down), that have been restored to as close to original specs as possible, more than anything…!!! :geek:

I'm from Vermont and a pint of Maple gold lasts me for years. To be honest I like the "Fake" type better.

The real stuff is way to sweet for me and way more expensive than I can bring myself to pay for something that literally "grows on trees". Yes, I know there are costs to process the sap and make it into syrup but after the equipment is purchased the process is done with the help of dead trees. Actual cost of ingredients would be like a drop in a bucket.

Top that off with the fact that the occasions I have to use it amount to about 3 times a year. Just not something I crave.

I buy in bulk, use a little at a time, so it costs about the same and we don't have to worry about allergies

@MinnieM123 , I never was able to find a place to watch the live airing of the Mecum auction that wasn’t behind a paywall.
I went to both YouTube and Roku, but they only had reruns from yesterday, etc.
Very disappointing, all the way around. :bored:
However, I did find reruns of a show called “Dallas Car Sharks” on Motor Trend. It’s kinda’ like a car version of “Storage Wars”, and was kinda’ entertaining…!!! :geek:

Just an observation, but…
There are people out there that are so full of crap that if they owned a used car dealership you know they’d also have a snake oil booth inside. :cyclops:
