It appears that posters can't help making silly remarks about possible choices, so most can stay. Edited to add, some political/social issues remarks not allowed were deleted.
Dang it all. Was just skimming along the post tops and so happy to see the discussion hadn't degenerated into typical American political bafoonery but seems like maybe it. (Mom, this isn't a political statement. It's an anti-political statement. Also, I'm hungry. What do we have to eat?)

Yeah…the squirrel hill approach at night is awesome as you bend around Oakland…the daytime from the Ft Pitt is just great

Small city but a great view…and unlike my parents/grandparents view…you can actually see more than 4 feet in front of your face

Who’da thunk we agree on stuff? 🫣
Strange happenings in strange times.

Indeed, far different views from grandparents/parents times. Even I miss how alive the mills made the city and surrounding towns feel. Kinda sad when I go back and the mills and factories are no longer there.

I hear that…Century 3 on a Saturday in December held some of my best memories

Packed from open to close…the decorations in Kaufman’s, gimbels, hornes…good times with good people

Yes
I can see why folks would choose NYC as iconic as it hosted a wave of European immigration but that was just a point in time. Plenty of other ports of entry like New Orleans and San Francisco were hosts to other waves and still more peoples were already here.

Soarin’ is primarily a visual experience, and New York, quite apart from its history, is visually as iconic as it gets. They would never not have included it.

Only by population, Jacksonville is larger in size, but not as large as Yakutat, AK. Surprisingly lots are leaving NYC for Boston and Philly.
Where you getting this take from?

Land mass matters? That’s like the election maps that people go nuts over based on “area”.

Pssst…2/3 of the country are in 1/3 of the states…don’t tell anyone 🤫

Listen…im
Far from the biggest New York defender…and since I live just outside Philly and spend a lot of time in Boston I can assure you there aren’t “mass defections”
Amongst the 3…

…but youre going to the bottom of the well
On these take and unfortunately…you’ll drown

It's not all CG. But there are a LOT of CG flourishes. Like all of the animals. I hope this time around, they use a trained polar bear.
They should have just had NO polar bear (or other animals). The ride is fine with just landscapes for the most part. I know there was some CGI in "Over CA" but it didn't stand out as obvious.

In "the World," the calving glacier is fine because it isn't obvious even though if you have seen that in person you know that there is no way to time it to a helicopter shot.

The NYC population is growing. It dropped a bit during COVID but it's back to increasing yearly.
That doesn't make the statement false. Lots can be leaving NYC for Boston and Philly while, at the same time, the population can grow.

What are we even doing here? The ride isn't a sociology study. Obviously New York City is going to be included.
Has anyone noticed Miami's skyline lately? I remember seeing with my own eyes how the 2nd-to-the-last-building-from-the-left was the tallest:oops:
