Soarin’ Across America to replace Soarin’ Around the World for Nation’s 250th Birthday

Now that I’m ruminating on it…

What would be excellent…especially for cities…would be if they could do like a 10-20 second time lapse that shows them before and after sunset…

That would be awesome for New York and DC if you could do it…

It may also give the visual of “speed” and give the chairs a little kick in the can?

Just spitballing
You could probably get a really nice 3 fer with Ellis Island, Statute of Liberty, and then the NYC Skyline.

While the Fort Pitt tubes offer the best entry point, I think the approach via the Parkway North offers the best view of the city skyline.
Crosstown?

Not a bad view either

But I think my point (I’m never sure 🤪) is the reveal is best from the east and west/south

Who’d a thunk this would devolve into a “scenic Pittsburgh” thread?

But it fits…because Dallas gave themselves that “Americas team” label…cause they never really were 👷🏼

@JMcMahonEsq
up thread I did the flight path I’d choose…straight up the bay with the statue on the left…bank right and hook around the financial district…over the Brooklyn/williamsburg

And if you really want authentic…you can have a delta flight from LaGuardia almost hit you over rikers 😎

Not in order except for the last one, here are my predictions:
  1. Mount Rushmore
  2. Chicago (perhaps Wrigley Field!)
  3. New York City (with Statue of Liberty)
  4. Grand Canyon
  5. A view of the Great Plains (perhaps flying over the American Heartland park in Oklahoma, RIP 🤣 )
  6. Santa Monica Pier in California
  7. Rocky Mountains
  8. Bayou Swamp in the South somewhere
  9. Seattle (Space Needle)
  10. Washington D.C. (National Mall)
  11. Philadelphia (Independence Hall)
  12. Hollywood Sign
  13. Epcot finale with American Adventure
Gateway Arch

Feels like even though the other parks are getting the big additions, Epcot is having the budget to continue the smaller changes. Full new Test Track, new Soarin’, and improvements to Remys and Frozen all pretty fast. I do wish some of the other parks could get these updates especially with the screen attractions. Tron Ares should be a permanent Halloween offering imo, Space Mountain could get its update, Update Philharmagic to get some randomized scenes (stretch but it could be so fun) If we get a few years in the interim of Disney updating all of their attractions like this, I would be very pleased
Don’t forget MK got CBJ, and is currently working on BTM, and Buzz and eventually COP improvements.

I got the dates from a different forum (not this one). Don't blame me for passing on information someone else passed on as fact.

Here is one source. Disney Tourist Blog. Bricker tends to be reputable. 🤷‍♂️

Right, thats when the celebration is happening, not the Soarin overlay. The article says the overlay debuts summer 26.
