Soarin’ Across America to replace Soarin’ Around the World for Nation’s 250th Birthday

Well, they did use a CGI Taj Mahal in "World" that stands out like having a Freddy Krueger meet and greet in Fantasy Land so never say never!
It was so painfully obvious, too. Why not just GO there? Even if they couldn’t film there, the amount of incredible sights and wonders across the globe that they could have gone to….as usual, whoever is running the show at this company doesn’t seem to have a clue.

To me, the Taj Mahal scene doesn’t look fake. (I’ve seen the real thing, for what that’s worth.) But so many posters say it does that I feel I must be missing something! What exactly are people seeing that makes it look so off?
The lighting on the building is usually a giveaway.

All the money was spent on Rohde taking 75 people to Nepal for research on the Everest queue? 🤔

Predictions on locations we'll visit? I'm guessing NYC (with Statue of Liberty), Grand Canyon, Rocky Mountains, Great Plains generic "farm fields", Washington DC (if they got approval to film over the National Mall to get the Capital Building + Washington Monument + Lincoln Memorial + White House shot, that would be incredible), and maybe a military base/air filed?
Going to add another one...Niagara Falls...got to have a waterfall scene!

Because filming there isn't allowed. And they wanted the India scene specifically.

Kinda seems like a boorish list…to be honest…

The best parts about THE UNITED STATES (i hate that they’re using ‘Merica in the title…it’s not accurate) are the nature scapes inland…not really the city skylines and beaches…with some exceptions

The best city skyline/reveal…
No joke…it’s probably Pittsburgh from the south. As ridiculous as that sounds
Nighttime view coming out of the tunnel can't be beat.

No, those are not the dates at all.

Expect to see it Memorial Day '26 through at least end of Summer '27. Perhaps longer, definitely longer in CA.

Edit: I see where you got the impression that Veteran's Day would be the start, because thats when this 'celebration' starts. That is not the case. The new footage isn't even complete.
I got the dates from a different forum (not this one). Don't blame me for passing on information someone else passed on as fact.

Here is one source. Disney Tourist Blog. Bricker tends to be reputable. 🤷‍♂️
Kicking off on Veterans Day 2025 and continuing through the July 4, 2026 weekend, this celebration will bring together Disney’s beloved brands and platforms to honor America’s past, celebrate the present, and inspire its future.

Now that I’m ruminating on it…

What would be excellent…especially for cities…would be if they could do like a 10-20 second time lapse that shows them before and after sunset…

That would be awesome for New York and DC if you could do it…

It may also give the visual of “speed” and give the chairs a little kick in the can?

Just spitballing

The lighting, the textures. Everything about it looks like something from a video game like Assassin's Creed.

That would be cool.

I also thought the view of Pittsburgh at night coming in from the east on the Parkway back when J&L was still around was great. Rounding the curve after the Squirrel Hill tunnel with mill lit up and at in production with the city in background was impressive.

Yeah…the squirrel hill approach at night is awesome as you bend around Oakland…the daytime from the Ft Pitt is just great

Small city but a great view…and unlike my parents/grandparents view…you can actually see more than 4 feet in front of your face

Who’da thunk we agree on stuff? 🫣
