MK All-New Nighttime Parade Disney Starlight Set to Debut at Magic Kingdom in 2025

Having worked with data for years, the old adage about data being able to say whatever you want it to say however you want it to say it is pretty applicable here. They may have a lot of statisticians, Lord knows I have applied to enough openings, but I have a feeling they may not be writing completely unbiased questions or creating the most unbiased reports. Easier to fire one analyst than redo a parade.
Of course. I've completed Disney surveys where it's pretty clear what answer they're looking for based upon the wording of the question.

With that said, most of the critiques I've seen here suggest reasonably simple updates to Starlight. Not that Disney will make any of them...

Currently on Property, and plan on seeing this parade on one of the evenings that I am in town.
Looking forward to checking it out in person.

I am ‘spoiler free’ for the most part, and will be seeing this with open ears and eyes.
Have not heard a single note of the music, and have not watched any video clips.
Still photos, and fellow park goers commentary here on the Forum however, yes.

I will share some thoughts at a later date once I have had a chance to view this new parade.

It's taking them a bit longer than they'd wish but the equiptment is still on the float if you look closely. It's a different system from what tokyo had & they won't fly as high.

This seems to have been removed a few days ago after being on the float since the debut. Hopefully that means they're working on it and not given up on it. :/

Magic Happens is a fantastic parade, and far stronger than the abysmal state Festival of Fantasy is in.

The entertainment cuts Disneyland has faced is ridiculous, unforgivable really.

But perhaps the power of that park would be too strong if they ran two GREAT parades vs Magic Kingdom running two... okay parades. Gotta keep Disneyland in check somehow, she dare not outshine Magic Kingdom. ;)
Hot take: Even in its current state, I prefer festival of fantasy. And I am typically Disneyland biased.
To each their own, the music doesn't blend well in my opinion and the floats aren't very good either. The costumes and choreography are great though. The Coco float and last float are good but the rest... Sure MH is better than current FoF but that's not a high bar. But like I said I do think the costumes and choreography in MH is great.
Agreed except I don't even care for the costumes. At least the ones they're wearing at the opening. I think it's the opening of the parade that really throws me off the most. It's trying to be too trendy. It does have some nice music in it but overall it left me pretty wanting.

My guess is they've just removed it because they've decided to not use it. I don't think we'll see Peter Pan flying in this parade :( I hope I'm I'm wrong.

I saw the second showing this past Monday evening.
As noted in my prior post here, I went in spoiler free having not watched any videos or listened to a note of the music.

My initial thoughts after viewing it -

The floats looked beautiful to me.
The music I thought was nice, and of course I enjoyed the tributes to the MSEP.
The characters looked terrific in their special costuming for the parade.
Also, it seemed there were more dancers on the ground then I was expecting after all the talk here about lack of performers.
So that was a nice surprise, as after all the complaints I was expecting nearly none.

Overall, I thought this was a welcome addition to entertainment.
I would make time to see this again, and will, in a future visit.

Best part however was watching this in front of Cinderella Castle.
Normally I watch from the gate at the end of the route, but this time a friend had a spot set aside for me to view the Parade from a central viewpoint with the Castle directly in front of me.
Seeing what happens here, as the Show begins, and how the Castle ‘interacts’ with the Parade was very cool and downright magical to me.
Another nice surprise, as I was not expecting this.
Well done!

Going in ‘spoiler free’ is the way to go.
And watching this with the Castle in your close view as the backdrop to the Parade is also the way to go.
🙂
