Double super secret bad show
GSATs are strong and, importantly, ops has relearned how to run a park with fireworks sandwiched between light parades.
Thats why i was curious if its moving any attendance needles as expected… as you said doesnt take much to pleaseI mean, it doesn’t take much to please the average WDW guest and that’s the problem with a lot of things at WDW. We will never know but if Starlight was at Disneyland it would be interesting to see if the stats would still be strong.
I think those poll readings a few pages back proves that, but these guests don't read into this that much because they either don't care or ignore it so it would make sense under that. I doubt Disneyland's scores would deviate that much off given the already abysmal state of entertainment they have there now.I mean, it doesn’t take much to please the average WDW guest
They didn’t want this to increase MK attendance so much as evening satisfaction. And, of course, light-up toy sales.Thats why i was curious if its moving any attendance needles as expected… as you said doesnt take much to please
This. They only run one parade at a time and the Disneyland guests have rose colored glasses on about cause they have PTN back. What happens when PTN ends and they bring back MH with no nighttime parade? Will the same comparisons about Starlight being lackluster in comparison be made when they pack up PTN for another 5-10 years and run the, lets be honest mediocre MH.I doubt Disneyland's scores would deviate that much off given the already abysmal state of entertainment they have there now.

To each their own, the music doesn't blend well in my opinion and the floats aren't very good either. The costumes and choreography are great though. The Coco float and last float are good but the rest... Sure MH is better than current FoF but that's not a high bar. But like I said I do think the costumes and choreography in MH is great.Magic Happens is a fantastic parade
Outside of Parties.......Thank God!!!!!!!GSATs are strong and, importantly, ops has relearned how to run a park with fireworks sandwiched between light parades.
MSEP & Spectro was never 40min.....They didn’t want this to increase MK attendance so much as evening satisfaction. And, of course, light-up toy sales.
They’re pleased with the results. Interestingly, most guests think it’s the right length for a parade. I guess they don’t want to sit through 40 minutes of floats. Good thing…a longer parade would make it hard to run HEA an hour later.
They probably wouldn't even do any type of testing to get those scores if it was really awful. Probably wouldn't have even passed bluesky at this point. As long as the "popular" characters are in it it's at least getting a 3/5 from an average guest. No clue how they go about sampling the statistics though for it to be truly correct. Is there a way to see all the “guest scores”?
Whenever Disney has another middling at best offering the first line of defense is the “guest scores”.
I want to see what it takes to have a bad guest score. Does it have to be something historically awful? For a parade to have a bad guest score does it literally have to make small children cry in fear?
On a scale of x/5, Starlight scores around 4.5 BTW.They probably wouldn't even do any type of testing to get those scores if it was really awful. I know it scored that, I saw the chart. From a very analytical point it hits every mark and was very easily going to reach above a 3.On a scale of x/5, Starlight scores around 4.5 BTW.
They have numerous statisticians. And while they may have flaws, WDW is great at making money.

Having worked with data for years, the old adage about data being able to say whatever you want it to say however you want it to say it is pretty applicable here. They may have a lot of statisticians, Lord knows I have applied to enough openings, but I have a feeling they may not be writing completely unbiased questions or creating the most unbiased reports. Easier to fire one analyst than redo a parade. They have numerous statisticians.
A 3/5 is where it would range to break even from being poorly viewed and highly viewed which is why I referred to it. People liking this parade or not would be an opinion that all shows have and I can respect that. The actual quality of Starlight with other DLE projects is a fact.I get that - but is a bit of a gap b/w 3 and 4.5 - I think a lot of people really like it - doesn't mean it is perfect or the best night time parade they have had (which historically have basically all been amazing, so even the lowest of them can be a really good parade)
Of course. I've completed Disney surveys where it's pretty clear what answer they're looking for based upon the wording of the question.Having worked with data for years, the old adage about data being able to say whatever you want it to say however you want it to say it is pretty applicable here.
