They demonstrate why the Thea Awards doesn’t have such rigidly fixed categories or only a single winner. What’s the difference between best dark ride and best attraction installation of 2025 when they are both dark rides?
Honestly both are deserving, but I’m curious what is the stronger award?

I thought it was nail polish…?But they did add a spot of white spraypaint to screws holding the broken plastic down.
I would really love to have an accountant look into the whole Communicore fiasco and question why someone was not fired. There's been much talk in these forums, and elsewhere, that the projects Disney's currently working on will disappoint.... based on some recently completed projects (like the EPCOT hub redo).
In other words I have Impossibly high expectations for the Abu Dhabi project. And The Zach has moved on higher in the company and everyone patted themselves on the back for a job well done......
Theres one guy i know, I believe he is known as Bobby C.Also, please point out one person defending the Epcot Makeover.
The slogan for Iger's WDC.Its a business.
It’s a clear example of someone failing upward. And by choosing to work on the Abu Dhabi he clearly has no problem laboring in circumstances that directly conflict with his personal beliefs and lifestyle, so compared to that compromising his design prerogatives should be no big deal.Seems like Disney doesn't care.....and I believe they think the Epcot Hub is fine and not worth being concerned about.... And The Zach has moved on higher in the company and everyone patted themselves on the back for a job well done...There are plenty of people out there that will gladly defend the Epcot Makeover as being just what the park needed and brilliant... Many on here... So that failure doesn't even register...
This is both their blessing and their curse.Disney isn’t worried because they know they have something Universal doesn’t. The fandom.
To be fair a lot of people do that, sometimes even without knowing it.It’s a clear example of someone failing upward. And by choosing to work on the Abu Dhabi he clearly has no problem laboring in circumstances that directly conflict with his personal beliefs and lifestyle,
Well Zach did....Disney called it a success.
I can assure you they do not think the EPCOT hub is fine (especially the ground lights) but it has become more of a "We just dropped millions on this and it's ultimately just walkways so we have bigger fish to fry right now" type of situation. It will get ripped up and redone again, just not for a good while unfortunately.I believe they think the Epcot Hub is fine and not worth being concerned about
Just like the Yeti or the SSE Descent or the dozens of other examples I can't think of right now.I can assure you they do not think the EPCOT hub is fine (especially the ground lights) but it has become more of a "We just dropped millions on this and it's ultimately just walkways so we have bigger fish to fry right now" type of situation.
I hope they did enough infrastructure work the next iteration will be easier to implement. There was a lot of work the world will never see and hopefully solved the unplanned Epcot fountain showings.I can assure you they do not think the EPCOT hub is fine (especially the ground lights) but it has become more of a "We just dropped millions on this and it's ultimately just walkways so we have bigger fish to fry right now" type of situation. It is. But at the same time, I can’t say Its much of a curse. There are many times I heard Disney do something controversial, people say they’re done with the fandom, then come back anyway because there really is nothing quite like it. They’ve positioned themselves as a completely one of a kind product with one of the largest groups of fans in anything. I’m pretty sure if you tally up total fandoms in the world, Disney is probably the single biggest company of “fans”, even when not necessarily the biggest company monetarilyThis is both their blessing and their curse.
And all Zach's yes people.Well Zach did....
I only come here for the people who can reminisce about the glory days with me. I will likely never set foot on Disney property again., in Florida at least. It really is like being in an abusive relationship, to me at least. It There are many times I heard Disney do something controversial, people say they’re done with the fandom, then come back anyway because there really is nothing quite like it.
