This level of work would've always been done before a new show opened in there anyway. The original stage wouldn't have been reused and needed a gut/rebuild. They still have the foundation and space for a theatre show, but with the ability to do most of it as a new build.

Or just the shops, some of them.
On off on off… I’ve not heard anything definite about it “on” again but there’s certainly mutterings beyond the regular.

I mean, it probably can if they simultaneously build out the attraction density WS has needed for ages. It would still be a slow boat ride with no thrill factor.

It was the second most visited attraction in the park until 1994 when the queue was sabotaged for HISTA. Of course, what Disney needs to learn especially considering EPCOT is that NOT EVERYTHING IS GOING TO APPEAL TO EVERYBODY.

If they’re so keen on nostalgia—bringing back the vibe of World of Motion and a Figment remake—can we please get a Horizons overlay for Mission: Space? Honestly, if they just looped one of Martin’s POV videos of Horizons on the pre-show screens and called it a ride, it would still be better than that abomination.

That might be true but even if Imagination is fixed, with Spaceship Earth being a shell of it's former greatness and IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth gone. The park still will not have a cohesive vision linking it together. A TRULY GREAT Spaceship Earth refurbishment and an actual worthy successor to Reflections of Earth with a similar message and emotional impact might bring me back. I don't expect them to happen but that is what they will need to do if they want my money and support.

I think the new Country Bear Jamboree is a good example. They never expected it to be a major hit that would bring families to the park just to see the new show, but they still believed it would help raise the overall quality of the park (although I disagree).
In the worst-case scenario, it improves general public approval of the park and the pavilion — and they sell more merchandise to fans.

A few years after a Figment feature film was announced the new plans involve, possibly, some vague series or short film(s). Not trending in the right direction.Didn't they mention plans for Figment shorts at a recent shareholders meeting?
