The hotel itself wasn’t the issue, as the idea was sound in my opinion. It was the execution and the price that caused it to fail. Had they tinkered with the execution a bit and lowered the price they have bookings 2-3 years in advance.
Well “execution” covers it start to finish

And the list of mistakes is long, but distinguished

I'm not sure it was all that sound of an idea. I don't know if there was going to ever be enough people who wanted this type of experience. The price just sealed it.

As soon as they announced the price it was over. The only chance that it had was a much lower point of entry and it was all themed to the OT in my opinion.

I think there is enough in the Star Wars fandom that would have loved to live out their fantasy of spending a weekend in Universe that would have kept the place filled.

And yes the price was the primary issue that sealed its fate.

Agreed.

It's not even close to a fantasy I'd ever thought about and we still tell people that it's the best thing we've ever done at Disney World. Really wish we could've shared it with more people, which is, of course, the issue with the price.

I have never been…. But perhaps there was not a cheaper way to do the impressiveness at play here…. From videos I saw… cast members had to be on and in story 24/7…, the price is a tricky issue…. Because by most accounts…that was the one drawback as it was one of the most innovative that Disney has ever been

My kid (10) watched ROTS for the first time last week and loved it. Now he wants to watch Ep 1 and 2. Though I feel like he's going to be disappointed, especially with 1.

At the beginning of ROTS, Anakin and Obiwan are piloting the Trade Federation ship to the surface. What if Chancellor Palpatine died during his rescue? Would that put Darth Binks in charge of the Sith?

I would have loved to go to that hotel but it was just poorly executed. For one, there needed to be "departure" flights back the resort so I can come and go and stay for as long as I want. The ship should have had more things to explore and interact with. There should have been more aliens and droids, shows and action sequences. There should have been something going on at all times. There should have been more original trilogy characters. There should not be a line for all activities. The Disney Cruise line fails in that aspect too.

There absolutely is…but that’s NOT what they built
Let it go, I’m not going to agree with you here. The issue is not with what they built, it’s the execution of the actual stay that was the issue along with the price. Both of which could have been changed to make it a more inviting place.

Anyways this is a boring and non-productive conversation.
