Paint The Night Parade Comes Back Next Year For DL’s 70th Anniversary

PTN ran in DL Park all 60th, than Christmas 2016. I believe only WJ is Seasonal according to the 70th articles.
They weren't quite in "gotta cut as much as we can get away with" mode at that point.

They certainly could run PTN during Christmas, and as you said, there's precedent. But I could also see greed/laziness winning out this time around.

Here's hoping!

Also, potentially controversial opinion, both Halloween Screams and Believe in Holiday Magic (especially) are incredibly dated and need to be retired. It would honestly be much better if Wondrous Journeys supplanted both of those shows this year and new fireworks shows replaced each of the holiday shows next year.

Fine with me if WJ overtaks Halloween Screams!
I'm not ready to close Believe Holiday and I'm guessing I'm in the Majority........

ACF needs major changes before Believe Holiday, IMO.

Halloween Screams is my favorite DLR firework show, and 4th favorite castle show all time behind MWCT, Holiday Wishes and HEA. I hope it never leaves.

Believe is so old, the only currently running castle show that’s worse is Mix Tragic. It lacks the pop of the MK Christmas Fireworks and is entirely too short.

I haven’t seen WJ yet though, excited to see it this summer.

I agree that ACF is also ancient and should be swapped out; however, seeing both in person, ACF came off to me as dated but charming; Believe was just dated and woefully lacking compared to every other Disney fireworks show I have ever seen (disclaimer: have not seen MMM). Even the wretched Pixar show is longer and more impressive.

Whereas at least ACF is offering something that doesn't seem to exist or have been improved upon in other DLR parades-length and a scale that is charming rather than slight in comparison to more modern offerings.

$55 for meatloaf?! And why can’t I just get a package with the fried chicken if I want it?

I did this once for MSEP. It was also Plaza Inn. I don’t remember what the main entree was- only that I remember preferring the chicken. Also, purchasing this unfortunately does not remove (all) the stress out of your evening as you still have to queue early to beat all the other people who also purchased the package to ensure you get a good spot. Otherwise you might end up feeling like an idiot who spent $55 for meatloaf when all you really wanted was fried chicken.
