Paint The Night Parade Comes Back Next Year For DL’s 70th Anniversary

No, but being able to perform through mistakes is an essential part of performing arts. There wasn't any safety reason not too, and their management looked to be actively encouraging them to continue.
Obviously.

But your post is worded as though this is a generational ailment or potentially something now found commonly throughout Disneyland entertainment, when there is no evidence pointing to anything beyond one person walking off when they shouldn't have, one time.

Saw this reel which has a rare Disney parade fail.

Interesting the performer walks off instead of keep going. Maybe they were shocked?
Although the other CMs and managers want the performer to pick up the light to continue since it's right at the end already.

He didn’t walk off, he walked to the side out of camera but then walks back up but is quickly blocked from view.

Just saw this, assuming it’s real what a shame this never happened!

They should have done this for the relaunch as part of the 70th celebration.

But in reality there are so many things they should have/ could have done for the 70th. Im hoping they do a lot more for the 75th. Such as...
-bring back the original audio for space mountain for the celebration
-update Fantasmic
-put anything in the hyperion
-update buzz like they are doing at wdw
-build the arcades for main street like in Paris instead of those ugly temporary bypasses we have now
-randomize soarin with different scenes like they do for Star tours

I know there’s a good chance they won’t touch Tomorrowland for another 10+ years, but part of me wonders that maybe the reason they aren’t updating our buzz ride, is because they want to either put a new ride there or re do the land. I could be wrong, but just was a theory I had. Because our buzz is pretty rough and could definitely use an upgrade

I could see them waiting about 5 years but not 10. I really hope after the 4 new rides open in dca they focus on tomorrowland

I wonder if they will eventually update PTN rather than replace it with something new? Like add in Moana, Coco and Encanto?
It would certainly be more economical that way. And TDL updates Dreamlights every few years-it was quite exciting to see that only one float was identical across my two visits, nine years apart (granted, some of the new floats were just updated versions of older floats, but still).

I feel like Disney would rather offer it infrequently enough that just seeing it is enough of a novelty and thus they don't have to update it, though.

Isn't that what they've been doing with it? It's 10 years old but has enough performances to fill maybe 3-ish years. Most they've done to update it was just the Incredibles unit being put in place of the Frozen unit for DCA. MSEP barely saw any noticeable updates either before the 50th.

Exactly. Which is what I said: they're banking on it being seen infrequently enough that no one will notice/care that no updates happen.

Wonder if we have seen the last of MSEP if they want to continue to swap out parades. Poor thing at least needs a rebuild.

I expect something new for the 75th. The parade is fantastic but something with more modern tech would be great to see.

If they bring Magic Happens back I hope it's with a few directional changes that prioritize other Disney movies and not stuff released within 3 years with everything else shoved in the back. Wouldn't put too much on a new night parade though. Light Magic's cancelation seems like a one-time only deal for Disney getting rid of a night parade.
