For one, I think the onus should be on you and others to provide evidence they are cutting operational expenses by closing MV3D without seeing any work that's happening since that's your claim.

Let's see what the area looks like later this summer.
This is like insisting that a friend must be stuck in traffic on the tolled highway even though you know and have stated that they prefer to take local roads instead of paying the tolls. This has been explained in detail in the thread. You have even acknowledged the underlying components, but keep insisting that they can’t work in concert together.

How is that evidence that the time was needed?

Why though? What about the shown intent suggests a scope of work similar in need to the work in the parking lot?
The one way this would not be cost cutting is if they only close this for like 6 months to do the changeover, then use walls and such to get it opened back up with the exits. But, I'm not sure that is in any way feasible with where the exit is, especially if the muppets store needs demo. So I guess there is an extremely slight possibility it's not a cost savings measure and they are just trying to get it back open as soon as possible. But considering the total lack of details on the show, the placement of the building, and how WDW generally operates, I'd be SHOCKED if it's not.

It also could be more than on thing - there could be some cost savings - especially as the are opening two new(ish) shows and could transfer staff, etc

But also they found that they couldn't do the expansion construction effectively and efficiently without being too close to where guests exit the current show. Could they build/reroute that? Sure but figure easiest and best path is just close it and get going in fullness on the work

The current figment ride is similar to what is being described I think. It’s actually a really good ride system in my opinion.
one would hope that it would be a vast upgrade from that janky jerky clunky ride. it may have been smooth 20 years ago, but there is nothing impressive about it now.

If the ride vehicles don’t end up being connected at all then you’re actually looking more at a classic fantasyland dark ride type deal like Pooh Alice or Pinocchio with Encanto moreso than a Figment.

I think it will be like trains of cars, so like 4 cars, each that hold up to 6 people that leave the loading area together/connected and then in each show scene can be slowed down or even stopped to let the action/story unfold for those ~24 people at a time

Vs the classic dark ride which are just one car and then continuously move through the ride with no pausing for show

So in that way more like Figment

Just saw about this new patent - wonder if it could be used as part of the Encanto ride to make it more immersive and help hide the track and other cars from you
