The whole problem with the Dinoland boardwalk carnival game premise (looking at Pixar Pier too) is that you have to pay extra money to pay. This would be acceptable in a state fair, city amusement park, or similar venue where you're basically paying for parking and purchasing Ala carte tickets for rides and things to do.

Disney IS NOT this type of venue. People are paying on average with food and other stuff well over $200/day per person to vacation there. Typical family of 4 on a 4 or 5 day park hopper are gonna spend $3-4k (conservative estimate) in a week just in the parks and lodging. If anything, these games should be free with crappy prizes akin to something found in a happy meal. I loathe that they stoop so low on stuff like this.

And yes, I know it's voluntary to play. Tell me the last time you seen a real line for any of the pay to play booths (besides the shoot8ng gallery when it was still $1)? Scamland games are for suckers.

These booths are failures in both DL and WDW.

Bring back the radio control boats and other interactive stations around the parks.

Today was amazing!

There were so many people celebrating the land and having a good time. I saw three people dressed as Doctor Seeker, a whole family with handmade outfits based on the plush toys, and two separate instances of crowds being drawn because someone setup all the plush toys for a photo-op, among other things. One of the CMs was in the game in the middle was asking people their favorite thing about the land and giving fun facts.

I counted over a hundred people with dinosaurs, a special shirt, or some other special Dinoland accessory.

The fact that there were no more dinosaurs to win so I would never get to walk around and see people with the cuteness all over the place again was making me sad, but so many people brought them in from home that it was like they never left!

There was so much cheering for everything and plenty of people who were there from rope drop to close!

Chester and Hester's half of Dinoland will be missed. I'll treasure the memories (and my very large collection of dinos. Three giant igaunadons, baby!) forever.

I have to say, I do love the lights at this time of year. I do hope that Tropical Americas will have some nice holiday decor as well, maybe even better holiday decor. I was pleasantly surprised that they still had it all up at DAK this weekend.
