It's been rough like that for a bit now...
The Matt V effect bht more that Dave G is probably aging.
Personally I find it to be the rougher with Statler most of the time. Since no more Nelson and Steve W.

Supposedly Pete Linz was Statler for the game awards. He was fine enough, but I think we need to give Dave a rest, as you said since he's getting older. Gonzo and Waldorf are very gravelly voices which I can't imagine is easy for him. I get he's one of, if not the, last of the old guard of Muppeteers, but I'm sure someone else can do a passable Gonzo.

I just hope Goelz is able to train/pick his successor. We’ve seen firsthand with Vogel that an abrupt switch isn’t always embraced by audiences, so I hope that they take that into account when recasting Goelz’s characters (whenever that may be).

It'll certainly be more popular with an E ticket attraction, but it's just a very bland land -- which is the biggest problem with Marvel in general.

I think they can make great attractions with it (although Web Slingers is horrible), but it's really not at all conducive to building a themed land.

They should use some of the fictional locations in the Marvel Universe like Asgard, Wakanda or Latveria vs a boring campus. I even feel like recreating Marvel's New York with some of the fake, iconic buildings they have there would be a much better option.

No, I don’t blame Matt one bit. I think a lot of this is Disney’s fault. They haven’t given us any chances to get used to the new Kermit. We’re almost ten years out from the swap and Matt has only done a couples scenes in things like Haunted Mansion & Muppets Now. Sure he has live appearances and YouTube videos, but nowhere near as many projects as Steve had when he took over the role (Christmas Carol & Treasure Island specifically)

Steve doesn’t sound that much like Jim to me. I think the problem is that Matt’s Kermit is lower than Jim’s was, whereas Steve’s was higher. So it’s much farther from Steve to Matt than either of them really are from Jim. That makes it much more glaring that Kermit is off now, we’re used to Steve.

There was some serious infrastructure, Disney springs, transit, refurbs of all the parks entries parking and spines. Including a good amount of generous attraction spend, whether you liked the product or not. The resort is not as neglected as it was feeling in 2014. Do not confuse me with giving them a good star that aspects of WDW are still below standards. But it was significantly worse, it also used to be significantly better before Eisners downturn.

2005 to 2014 was not Eisner.

There is a reason so many billions promised are needed. It's been to decades bub. He's promising to fix his own mess.

I would love the Simpsons at dhs. I can somewhat get where people are coming from in AC, but me personally, I still want Springfield to come to dhs. Although if Disney doesn’t want a full big land, I still think Simpsons could fit in at dhs. Maybe a more smaller, “muppets courtyard” like area with a smaller supporting ride, and a shop and a moes and a krusty burger with a donut stand somewhere. That’d be nice.

Springfield at Uni is a pretty cool area, it looks great but the only thing it really lacks is quality rides. I would hope if they make something of the same scale at DHS they would make the main ride an epic dark ride instead of a lousy simulator. The Simpsons are a prime candidate for a fun house style dark ride with gags and props all over the place. I also think they could expand on the dining making a more robust Duff brewery and/or a larger Moe‘s Tavern.

I‘d be fine with a Simpsons ride being part of a more generic land too. Someone earlier mentioned the concept of making a version of a “fantasyland” at DHS where various IP live together in the land. A Simpsons ride with gift shop and quick service restaurant could easily be part of a larger land like that.

This why I like Peter Linz instead since he Voiced Ernie on Sesame Street..It's the closest to Jim's and Steve's..

Peter Linz has been the official performer of Statler since 2017 (he also took over for Steve as Lips and Link Hogthrob).

There are far, far worse Kermits than Matt's. Not just impressions in random YouTube and TikTok videos... remember Artie Esposito's Kermit from 2009? No disrespect towards Artie, but that was pretty off-putting...

Heck, there have been far worse officially performed Muppets than Matt OR Artie's Kermit. Matt's Robin was pretty bad (even he apparently admitted that he had difficulty with Robin, which is why he let Peter take over after he became Kermit). Or how about Kevin Clash's Sam the Eagle?

I think you should read what you wrote earlier and this post.
The billions is trying to fix it from being stagnant means the last two decades were in fact, stagnant.

They are playing catch up and rushing decisions because of stagnation. "Quick, we gave them star wars land already, too little too late so, give them the door coaster, but make it a land, a RNR retheme."
Proof is in the need.
