I'm happy about this, I do hope eventually muppets3d takes the places of the cars/villains show building. Plus ive been saying for a while muppets for RcRC is a great choice. I also hope (even though I doubt it happens) that Star Tours gets rethemed and becomes a part of Monsters Inc

If they move MuppetVision to the Sunset Showcase, redo the facade to something more Muppet-y, and then decorate that area as a "Muppets Studios" land, I will be fine. Move the Miss Piggy fountain back there too in its full glory (with the Fozzie/Gonzo/Animal statues), bring back the Kermit hot air balloon, maybe open a restaurant there. Perfect. Wonderful. Not ideal but they've at least preserved Jim Henson's final project, and his final dream of the Muppets living on at the Disney parks.

We'd also get things like a mish-mosh of villains being thrown together in a land. It would have been horrible if they had put a whole new ring around the entire park (like the hub expansion) that crated additions to each land that could have the villains that made sense for each land exist within a cohesive storytelling for that land.

Thank goodness there's a beloved video game series that's been running for over 20 years known for Disney Villain team-ups that people have been wanting to get park representation for a long time. Surely they plan on incorporating Keyblades and Heartless and evil trenchcoat organizations into this fantastical battlefield in the war of light and darkness.

Fantastic. Honestly, the area around the attraction could be home to Muppets emerging from windows as a form of streetmasphere.

My understanding is it's a much more short-term thing. Think about what they could throw into a park with just a few months of planning, that doesn't involve major construction or WDI.

So that's fireworks and/or a parade and/or a projection show. Is Paint the Night finally coming to WDW?

I’m trying to catch up (on 281/294), is there truth to the MILF building having asbestos and needing to be torn down to build anything new? Not sure how that would factor into what gets put there but if the plans for TL are big it would make sense.

This is extremely unlikely. If there was asbestos there, they'd have almost certainly removed it when doing renovations either for The Timekeeper or Laugh Floor itself.

Asbestos is only really dangerous when it's disturbed, like during demolition. Installed asbestos is usually not a major issue (although as I said above I'd be very surprised if there was any asbestos left at Disney World anyways, and there probably wasn't much to begin with other than parts of the Magic Kingdom).

Visual guide for the DHS timeline (so far) and general WDW & UOR timeline. This is just my best estimate. I know Disney builds slow, but they can build fast when needed to, and I think this 10-year plan will done at a rather quick rate.

That idea should not be put out in the world….even if it’s just a joke . I do think it’s easy to have RnRC (and show building next to it) area as a mini muppets land and keep ToT unchanged. The Muppets can blend in most places so they fit fine in a Hollywood themed area even if the timeline doesn’t quite work. Aerosmith were also not around in the 1930s so nothing worse than what we have today as far as timelines.

I do hope they decide to move the whole MuppetVision show in its entirety next to RnRC but if not maybe it will at least be a quality new Muppets show. There is probably not room in that area for a full restaurant or large gift shop but maybe some food carts with a few tables and a small outside retail area in addition to the RNRC gift shop. Maybe even squeeze in the fountain or even better an outdoor show scene in the courtyard area replacing the lightning McQueen stuff. Maybe to keep with the rock theme, a covered stage with a Muppet AA band playing some popular songs.

I’m happy to see the Muppets getting a place in the parks and Aerosmith is no great loss. Losing the original ToT would be for me. That ride should never be touched.

I often see comments about moving attractions to other locations. I don't think this happens often (if at all?).

Flat rides have been moved (e.g. Dumbo at MK). And you have things like CoP moving across the country

What a personal kick to the nuts to lose Muppetvision, something folks of all ages and ride ability can enjoy, to be replaced by a thrill ride many won't enjoy, and moving Muppets to a thrill ride that, again, will not be enjoyed by people that don't like thrill rides. But a win for people who love thrill rides.
